ALPHA RAY

Get Out?

Despite my good performance and skills, she is kicking me out?!

I thought Queen Avara's reign was over for good, but it feels like she never died in the first place. The new Luna is even worst than her. She didn't even consider the fact that I had so many good reviews! She's rejecting my proposal!

"This isn't good." I felt my heart racing with fear, thinking of all the problems I'm going to face if I don't get the Luna to accept my partnership. I need to convince her that I'm worth working with! I really need her acceptance.

"Luna, give me another chance. How about tomorrow? I promise to bring something worth convincing. Trust me, you'll love it, " I said, trying to push my luck.

Still... "I said Goodbye, Alpha Ray!" She raised her voice at me, causing my feet to tremble.

I couldn't speak but stare at the back of her seat, feeling the heat overwhelming my body. Even her bodyguard gave me a nasty glare, repeating what his Luna had just said, "She said, Goodbye Alpha. You can leave now."

I stared at this fellow who thinks he has more power over me because of his boss. Is it because I'm here seeking for a deal that he thinks he can talk to me like that? Me, Alpha Ray?!

Damn it! I have never been humiliated in my life before by a woman. I just don't know where the late Queen found her copy. Did she have a daughter no one knew about?

"Okay, I'll leave," I accepted, exiting the office with my head down.

The door was slammed behind by the bodyguard, who didn't care if I got trapped or injured by the door. The shut was loud and embarrassing. There were workers passing by, who saw how that i***t banged the door at me.

"s**t! I'm sure they recognize me as the Alpha of Shadow pack. How... How did I get to this point?"

Life hasn't been going well for me lately. It started a year ago when I decided to change my business strategies to reach a higher level as Wolf Corp. But it ended in disaster, resulting to multiple losses in my business.

It was the beginning of my problem. And since then, I've been getting disasters upon disasters from every corners. Even my own mother feared that my problem would sent us into the streets if I don't work on it quickly.

And that's what I've been trying to do for long. The Luna of Moonwave is my only way out of this shame I'm gradually drifting into. If I don't get her to accept me as her business partner, I'll be ruined for sure.

"She rejected you?!" Mom exclaimed, panicking over the Luna's feedback.

I just got back not too long, and the first thing she asked about was the Luna's response.

"This is bad, Ray. What are we going to do? You lost so much money from those goods that got burnt in that accident! How are we going to survive out of this mess?!"

"Relax, Mom. I'll just get another loan from the bank to restore the money. That way my partners won't suspect a thing, " I suggested, calming her mood.

She sighed and took in my words, before advising me to return back to Moonwave pack tomorrow to try one more time. "The Luna is just new to the business. What does she know? You just need to prove yourself to her and get her to agree. Is that clear?"

"Yes, you're right. I'll do just that, " I agreed, feeling that zeal again.

My mother is right. I doubt the Luna knows anything about business. She's just trying to sound so brave behind that seat. I'm going to prove to her that I am not useless.

That night in the room, I got attracted to my beautiful Tara's new night robe. It brought out her curves, tempting me to draw nearing for a touch.

I ran my hands on her smooth skin, pecking her sensitive areas to get myself aroused and ready for the night.

But instead of giving me the tune that I wanted, Tara stopped me from getting intimate with her. "I'm not in the mood, Ray. You know how I feel when you try to touch me."

"Come on, Tara. Don't keep me hanging. You know how much I want us to..."

"To what, Ray? Have a child?" She questioned, sitting up at once. Her face filled with sadness, reminding us of another problem we've been facing for four years as mates. "We have tried for four good years and nothing came out of it. You always want to ease your desire forgetting that your wife can't bear you a child! " She sniveled, tucking herself into bed to hide her tears from me.

I was upset as well. Not about the fact that she's sad, but with the fact that the one my mother and I dimmed as perfect, can't even give birth to a baby!

We were so troubled when we got nothing in the first two years. I was so mad that I wanted to kick her away, but my mother told me to have faith and wait for the right time. To her, the Goddess is preparing a special gift for us. But for how long?

This matter got to the councils, and they have threatened to appoint a new Alpha if I fail to bear the pack an heir that will succeed after me.

From one problem to another. How am I going to resolve all this mess? I don't want to lose my business or my throne. I need the Goddess's intervention. I know she'll help me somehow.

The following day, I left the mansion for Moonwave with my file from yesterday tucked under my arm, all set to make a point to that Queen.

When I arrived at the company, the secretary told me the Luna wasn't in, nor does she want to have anything to do with me anymore.

"But you don't understand. It's important for me to see her!" I said, showing her my folder. "Let her know that Alpha Ray is here. I have my papers all set, see." I opened it for her to have a look.

But the secretary apologized, advising me to leave. "Sir, I really don't want to embarrass you but can you just leave? Don't make me call the securities on you," She threatened, positioning her finger close to a button on her desk.

Annoyed, I grabbed my folder and took my steps back, promising to return tomorrow to see the Luna when suddenly... "AHH!" Someone exclaimed from behind.

From the voice, I could tell it was a woman. I had accidentally bumped into her while raging at the secretary, without looking back. On feeling something wet splashing on me... "Damn it!" I sparked in anger, turning around to face this lady.

But as soon as my eyes fell on her, my whole body quivered in horror freezing my feet to the ground! I couldn't believe who I was seeing standing before me. It can't be! This has to be a mistake!

"Kiara? " I called, recognizing my first mate that I thought was dead after that night!

She wore the apparel of a cleaner, holding a mop in her hands and staring back at me in shock. "Ray?" She uttered my name, terrifying me even more.

"She still remembers me. But how is she alive? I thought she died that night? Wait... She works here in Wolf Corp?" All these questions ran in my head, causing my blood to heat up.

But heaven knows I wasn't prepared for what the next thing that happened.

"Mommy!" A little boy came hugging Kiara from behind, giggling with so much joy. "I found you, Mommy. I found you!" He laughed hopping behind her.

"Mommy?" That word struck me hard, mostly the face of this child. It was as if I was staring at my own little self from years back.

"Heavens! Why does he look so much like me?" I was engulfed with horror, staring at a terrified Kiara, who protected her child from me.

Her behavior confirmed it all immediately.

This boy... He's my son!
