I halted from my tracks as soon as I heard my name being called out like it was the end of the world. I spun around to see my best friend, Sophee, waving her hand in the air as if she wasn’t obvious enough for me to see. I walked to the sidewalk and waited for her to reach me there, and when she did, I tapped her back softly to calm her down. “Why were you running so much? It’s still early. I can wait for you.”
