Chapter 17

Dylan Lemiere "One kiss won't hurt." I said and I crashed my lips to her. I slipped my hand to her cheek. I stopped after realising what I've done. We both sat there and none of us dare to talk. "Friends can make out?" She asked in a small tone and yes I remember that words. It came out of my mouth. "I guess." "What's wrong with us?" She asked. "I don't know, you tell me." I turned to her and she looked at me in disbelief. "You're the one who kissed me earlier, Dylan." She said and I sighed. "I know." I closed my eyes and leaned my head back. "Don't you dare tell me that we're friends and friends can kiss." She hissed coldly and I opened my eyes. I turned to her. She leaned closer to me and I leaned back immediately. "Ouch!" She hissed and I sighed. "There we go again.. clumsy.. Lauren." I said as I checked on her ankle. I turned to her ready to scold her but instead of doing it that. She kissed me. My body froze and I don't want her to stop. I don't know what's wrong between us or what's going on between us. I can't describe it with words. I really can't. The kissing got more intense because my crazy hands started to slip into her top. I can feel her skin on my hands and it's damn frustrating. "Lauren! We brought you in and out." She pushed me and damn Matthew! "Be there in 5 minutes!" Lauren said and the door opened suddenly revealing Matthew. "Why are you here?" Matthew asked me. "She sprained her ankle." I said. "Yeah right.. wipe that lipstick off your lips." My eyes widen and I turned to Lauren. Matthew smirked and closed the door. "Dylan.. I-" "Let's just not talk about it." I said and I know I said this before. "Again?" "Lauren.. stop okay?" I said looking at her seriously. "Get out." She said looking at me with her cold killing eyes. She gestured to me to go out. I sighed and I walked to the door. I heard she groaned in pain and I turned to see her trying to get up. "Hey! Be careful!" I said as I ran to her completely afraid that she would fall or something. She pushed me away and looked straight into my eyes. "Listen.. Dylan, can you at least explain your intention to me? A friend? A sister? Or what?" She hissed. "A friend.." "Then just get away from me." She hissed. "What about you? Do you see me as a friend? A brother? Or what?" "I like you because of all this attraction. I can't believe to myself that I lied to Nial just to go to LA and spend time with you." She pushed me away and walked slowly to the bathroom. She closed the door and I sighed. I sat down on the bed and closed my eyes. I got up and walked out of the room. I wiped Lauren's lipstick from my face and walked downstairs. The others were talking and eating. I grabbed my burger and sat in the kitchen. "You want to talk about it?" Matt asked. "We're friends." I said after taking a bite of the burger. "Friends makeout?" I looked at him when he said that. "What?" "She's not just any girl, Dylan. She's Lauren. She's a part of us and if you want her.. tell her.. if you don't want her.. then tell her that clearly." "I don't know." "Then you need time to think." He patted my arm and left me alone. I ate my burger in the kitchen. After I finished it, I walked up stairs planning to take a shower but I got up at the same time Lauren came out from the room. "What are you thinking? You're hurt and you want to swim?" I asked literally looking at her disbelief. "Don't pretend to care when you don't." She hissed as she pushed me away. She stopped before she went down. "Lauren.. don't be like this." I caught her wrist and she looked at me coldly. "Tell me clearly what you want.. for us to continue with this or still be friends." "Lauren, we're still so young. I can't give you the fairytale that you always dream of." I was completely a little pissed. Why is she keeping asking for a relationship when I don't want it now. "Then walk away.. walk away because I'm only your friend, nothing more." She hissed as she pulled her hand away from me. "You will get hurt! You just fell down earlier and you want me to let you go swimming without someone to look out for you?" I bursted angrily. "Is there something wrong?" Literally everyone came up stairs to check on us. Joan even came out from her room. "You always make us worried, grow up, Lauren. Stop being a child and take care of yourself more!" I hissed and walked away. "Dylan.. Dylan!" Matthew called me but I ignored him. I walked into my room and locked it. I jumped into the shower completely pissed. I got out from the shower and I found Lauren sitting on my bed. She turned to me coldly. "Is that what you want? For us to continue to be friends and ignore all these things?" She asked as she got up. "Yeah." I answered without hesitation. "Okay.. then I'll see you in New York." She said as she walked slowly to the door. "Running away? You're still childish." "It's better that I have my heart crushed. I had enough once and I'm not risking my heart again. Hearing your choice is more than enough.. you can f**k all the girls that you want to f**k without me being jealous and everything. I regretted that I lied to Nial about this because he's a lot better than you.. I should try to fight for someone who fight for me too instead going for someone who is dumb and still think about f*****g girls." "Yeah.. go to Nial. Go get clingy like you were with Blane. No wonder he dumped you!" "Look who's childish now? Are you done mocking me? We started by risking our friendship, Dylan, and I guess.. cutting our friendship is the best way to end this right? I'll see you in New York." She said and she walked out from the door. I sat on my bed and sighed. "Why is she so complicated?"
