Bradford POV
Getting Devyn’s call certainly took me by surprise. Hearing her say that she believed me held its weight in gold. She affirmed that my feeling was real. I did truly find love and even though it only lasted a few months, I’m left with the reminder every time I see my little baby girl. In fact, I have the opportunity to visit with Pila for a few moments before I leave.
Pila is heard screaming all the way down the hallway. I rush to her room to see what is going on. I open the door to find the new nanny in the rocking chair staring at her phone while Pila is crying from her crib. “What in the hell is going on here? Don’t you hear my baby screaming?” I bellowed out in the harshest Alpha tone.
The new nanny jumps up but doesn’t move. Lucky for her that I had already reached Pila
