The way Philleas pulled her against him made her feel hot all over. Her hand rests on his shoulder blades, and she felt her feet go weak from the intensity of the kiss.
Her eyes fluttered a good few times before she could see clearly again. His breath touches her cheek as his nose sticks with her. Stacey takes a good look at him, Though his expression is unchanging, somehow she could feel that he's in a good mood.
Stacey sighed. She applied her favorite honey-scented lip balm on his lips because it looked dry, and the color could really help his face. But what she didn't expect is that he would hold a grudge at her for his honey smelled pink lips, and now he's taking back at her by kissing her until her lips undoubtedly swollen.
Suddenly, the door opens, revealing a man who looked surprised at the sight of her. His mouth went open and close like a fish in the pond, And judging their both lips, he felt like he had just interrupted something. He swallowed and hurriedly walked away, excusing himself. He doesn't want to guess what will happen should he anger the boss.
When he was gone, she pushed him away and pretended as if nothing had happened as she returned to her original spot. He looked at her in silence, and instead of being bothered, the corner of his lips twitched for a brief moment, before he looked back to the papers on his desk, waiting to be signed.
Stacey only helped him in checking the proposals and contracts he received aside from taking care of the financial reports. She had majored in Business Law & Finance, and she doesn't let any loopholes get through them. Her abilities with numbers are what had made him let her take over his brother's place despite not graduating yet. He knew very well how much capable she is.
And some of the important members of the company have also known the fact. They can't deny that having her in the company is a perk, and she isn't sabotaging her relationship with him as they had initially presumed.
But before graduating, and making up her mind, she only stood by his side as an aid. She doesn't really occupy her room or title in the company. In fact, she has only gone to the company a numerous times. So she had only used her favorite chair in his office.
When she's done, she looked up to him and found that he had finished his part earlier than she did, and only sat there staring at her. She doesn't want to think how long he had been doing that and instead asked, "there were a lot of documents?"
"I trust you," he told her, admitting that he only signed the documents he received from her, while only bothering to go through the documents he received from his assistant briefly.
"You're going to sign your wealth away at this point," she told him, annoyed, while he ignored her, standing up from his seat and grabbed his trench coat on the stand nearby.
"Doesn't matter. You're marrying me anyway, no?" he answered, while she could only blink her eyes.
Did he think that she meant she's going to make him transfer all his wealth to her? She fights the urge to kick his annoying a*s. How dare he even indicated if she's such a woman. And even if she is, how could his dumb a*s still think that she's still going to marry him? She doesn't understand that man's logic, she decides.
When she stood up from her chair, he already stood by the door and waited for her. He held a coat in his grip as they reached to the elevator. The soft tone of the elevator makes her feel funny. Do they think this soothing music is going to mislead the person running because they're late? it's simply useless and bland.
He suddenly placed his coat over her shoulders, and she looked at him stunned. The elevator door opened, and the both quickly walked out of the elevator.
To onlookers, it's undoubtedly that they're a rather fitting for each other. But the coat on her shoulders that gives everyone an announcement that the girl is his as if they didn't know yet.
He led her into his car and then drove away. The car AC is turned into warm as the weather had gotten colder these past few days. But that doesn't keep her from freezing, and she's grateful for the coat he'd wrapped around her. It gives her a second layer of protection that she didn't realize she needed before leaving the warmth of his office.
He drove her back to her apartment, and as she walked out the door, she suddenly stopped, and with unsure movements, she looked back to him.
"Would you like to come up?"
She has already become familiar with his penthouse while he barely visited her apartment. And it's not like she actually forbids him from visiting, but instead, he had really disliked her apartment that she has never found the courage to invite him, and he never seemed interested to come by.
Meeting his silence, Stacey was just about to say nevermind when he suddenly walked out of the car, leaving his car parked parallel for the first time since there wasn't much parking offered on the affordable housing.
She silently led him into the building, and as she tried to see his thoughts, the moment he entered the place, he frowned.
