Four Years Later
Is there anything crueler than time? Time continued to pass regardless of what was happening around him, nothing could stop him. Even if you cry until your blood dries up, time will not turn around and stop for you. He will continue to walk, because that is his nature.
The inauguration of the capital took place two years ago, now Salem is busier than ever, especially North Salem. Salem is an island that previously only had a population of 38000 people. Now with the number of newcomers, of course the number is more than that.
South Salem contains factory areas, rice fields, forests, and farms. Farmers, herders, and slaves were all in the South.
Central Salem houses the city hall, containing government buildings, courts, and city parks. The ministers and councilors live in Central Salem. Their family homes stand majestically in the middle of Salem, the place is only open to the public in certain circumstances.
Meanwhile, North Salem is the economic center of this city, with shopping centers, offices, businesses, schools, colleges, academies, and a big market that has become an icon of the city of Salem so far.
The migrants mostly live in North Salem, the security in Salem is still very tight, migrants are not given a residence permit in any place. If someone violates it, the penalty is death.
In the East Salem section is a residential area, ranging from middle to upper middle class. What makes this area always crowded is because of the culinary tours that are open every night. Salem is a city that is very neatly arranged, especially after becoming the capital of this country, now the Emperor visits more often.
Then where does Dyvette live? Dyvette lives in West Salem, Dyvette owns almost half the land there. West Salem is a mixed region, training centers, art schools, various martial arts training courses, and Salem's largest library are here.
Until now the Emperor only knew that the land belonged to Assad. Jamal has never been there either, before Assad handed over all of Kadesh to him except the western tip of the island of Salem, he said it was privately owned.
West Salem, four o'clock in the afternoon...
Alma sat eating watermelon, she was watching Dyvette practice. "Are you going to fashion week in the North tomorrow, Yve?"
That smile, look at how light and beautiful her movements are, Dyvette is like a fairy floating.
Dyvette replied: "Sounds boring." then took a seat near Alma after the music stopped.
Alma always admired her best friend, she even had doubts about her s****l orientation when dealing with Dyvette who was like this, seeing Dyvette panting with a flushed face, and sweat dripping down every side of her beautiful face, Dyvette's sweet and soft scent, wafting into her face. Her brain seemed to be trying to release the wild animal instincts within her. Alma returned to her sanity after a moment of fascination.
"The royal princesses are coming, I'm sure they'll be looking for a dress for the crown prince's wedding."
Dyvette was surprised. She asked quietly : "The crown prince is getting married?"
"Yes, the Prince is now ready to marry. Even though he always said he didn't want to. Estheria always told me how frustrated the girl was that the Prince hung up on her. Even though they had been engaged for a long time."
So, Ankhamun is getting married?
"That's good, after all Miss Estheria is very old enough to get married."
Alma glanced scornfully, eyeing Dyvette with a flat, piercing gaze.
"Then you alone? How old do you think you are now? You're also very, very old enough to get married."
Crack... Her heart ached.
"I haven't found one that fits."
Now there are no men who propose to her, or at least, just not even approaching her. Everyone now thinks that Dyvette will end up just like her mother, Laila. Not married for life.
"What kind of person are you looking for? Wait for a human to come down from the sky? Then you will fall in love?"
"All men suck."
"My husband is not annoying, he is very sweet and loves me." Alma replied that she did not accept.
"Yes, Yes, Yes, your husband is the best. Don't repeat those words again, I almost threw up." Dyvette waved her hand, Alma still frowning.
Alma was married one year ago, and is now pregnant with her baby. That's why she just sat there watching Dyvette practice, because she couldn't dance like she used to since she was pregnant.
"I feel sorry for your mother, and the ancestors of the Mebraah family. Because of you their lineage will be cut off. If I were you, I would definitely accept the proposal of the Mayor's son, and have many children with him." Alma and her wild imagination
"Yakkk.... Stop that perverted face of yours, disgusting." Dyvette threw a grape at Alma's arm.
"Jahannam, I'm trying to sharpen your dull brain!"
"You can't swear, you're pregnant."
"Damn I forgot."
"You cursed again."
Alma rolled her eyes lazily.
"Never mind, what's the point of me being kind enough to help you, you are the most stubborn human I've ever known." Alma stood up after glancing at the clock.
"I will go first, my husband said he would pick me up at four in the afternoon."
"You're an obedient wife huh, did you tell him you'd accompany me to practice today?"
"Of course, I have to obey. Hurry up and get married, there's a lot of fun in marriage, you'll regret it if you miss it." these are sincere words from her heart. She really wanted to see Dyvette get married, there would be a lot of things they could discuss and discuss if they were both married, that was Alma's imagination.
Dyvette smiled. Since her best friend got married, they rarely saw each other. Sometimes they just accidentally meet on the street or in a shopping center.
"I'll walk you out." Alma nodded.
After Alma got into the car, Dyvette waved goodbye, but she didn't want to walk away. She watched the car that had shrunk in her sight with a faint smile.
Married huh?
Who with?
She rejected men too many times and now she's getting her payback.
She is lonely, she wants someone to accompany her to talk at night, accompany her shopping, joke, she wants someone to protect her all the time. Alma looks happy to be married to Yohan, will she be happy after marriage?
The Mayor's son is married, he even has three wives who are all children of politicians. Right? Most men are rotten, if Dyvette used to want to marry him, she must be suffering now because her husband is owned by many women.
All the way home Dyvette was just daydreaming. Staring out the car window, propping her chin up.
"Go to the beach. I want to see the sunset."
"Okay, Miss." Baili nodded.
Vivian didn't come, Dyvette was only accompanied by a driver today.
* * *
Dyvette walked barefoot along the shoreline, still wearing her red heart dancer outfit. The dress showed her flat and white belly, her braided hair was messy, many strands of hair fell on the sides of her face.
She is always full of jewelry when she wants to dance, she really likes the gurgling sound it makes when she moves, on her forehead she sticks a long oval gemstone. Made her really looks like an angel that fell from the sky..
Yve inhaled the scent of the perfume mixed with her sweat, it was soothing.
She closed her eyes, wanting to enjoy every second of the beautiful beach atmosphere, the sound of the waves crashing, the sound of the birds, the friction of coconut leaves...
Like being possessed by a female demon, Dyvette danced very erotically, every curve of her body was wet with sweat, her breath was irregular. She spun around as if she wanted to make herself dizzy and throw all the sense of loneliness that was raging.
Until finally she staggered and was about to fall, that's what she thought before someone caught her.
Dyvette opened her eyes but all she saw was the orange sky and swirling clouds, she closed her eyes again.
"I feel like throwing up." she said breathlessly
'Wait, who's holding me now? It doesn't smell like Baili. This man looks like he's been in a running race'
Dyvette tried to release the grip on her body, but she didn't have enough strength
"Miss, your head will hit the sand if I let go now."
Shiver....
That's how Dyvette felt now.
That hoarse voice...
Dyvette opened her eyes again, now her eyesight was better. Dyvette let go of the man's embrace then hastily moved away and sat down, patting his temple lightly. After the dizziness completely disappeared, Dyvette turned her head and how surprised she was..
"Who are you?!" Dyvette hugged herself, trying to cover her exposed cleavage and belly. The outfit is indeed quite exciting.
The man approached and put his leather jacket on her slowly and politely.
"You can get sick in clothes like that in a windy place like this." Dyvette froze, looking at the handsome man who was averting his eyes.
'He.... He blushes? Is the man blushing? Does he feel embarrassed because he has seen parts of a woman's body that he shouldn't have seen?
"I want to, what's the matter? What does it have to do with you what I want to wear...."
Silence, the man looks increasingly awkward. Dyvette is still the same as before, her temper hasn't decreased in the slightest, the man thought.
"You didn't answer my question, who are you? How did you get into my private area? Are you the pervert who followed me all the way here? I warn you, don't mess with me!"
Dyvette just remembered that this beach is still in her residential area.
The man looked down and thought. 'Why does Miss Dyvette think that, do I look like a pervert?'
"I am your personal bodyguard, Miss."
"I don't remember I have a bodyguard like you, we just met.. Oh my God...." Dyvette shrieked as she covered her gaping mouth. That face, that voice, and that characteristic shy face...
Why did Dyvette just realized?
"Lucas?!"
Dyvette couldn't be wrong. Why, why is Lucas so different now? Dyvette hasn't mentally prepared to meet Lucas who looks like this.. God, she can't (>_<)
"Right, I'm Lucas. Madam assigned me to be your personal bodyguard from today on."
Dyvette tried to keep her cool image. Even though she wanted to scream right now
"How did you know I was here?"
"I've been following you all day, from before you entered the dance practice, I was waiting at the coffee shop opposite, then when you came out and was about to go home, I followed you. I meant to stay out of sight, but you almost fell, madam didn't want anything to happen to you, no matter how small, so I had to touch you. Please forgive my impudence, Miss." He answer in detail, Dyvette gawked
"Stop that foreign language, I already said just use 'me you' right."
After feeling more comfortable, Lucas dared to look at Dyvette. He recalled the incident four years ago when Dyvette asked the same thing.
Dyvette laughed, not knowing what she was laughing at. Lucas didn't blink at all. She is really beautiful....
Wake up, Lucas, wake up! Lucas screamed inwardly.
After adjusting her mood Dyvette said: "You've changed so much, I barely recognized you earlier."
"Miss has changed a lot too."
"Oh really? What's changed about me?"
"You.... Ahem.. You, much more mature now."
Dyvette was a little offended, "You mean I'm old, are you?"
"No! It's not like that. I mean, you're getting prettier."
Blushhhh.... Dyvette and Lucas were both blushing.
'How could he say that so easily? Lucas is different now, ah yes, he has matured too. At the training ground he must have been taught many things by his male friends.'
Dyvette coughed as she woke up from her daydream.
"Ah... I've always been beautiful, where have you been all this time until you just realized." Dyvette laughed awkwardly. But Lucas didn't seem to get what Dyvette meant and instead thought Dyvette was asking where he had been all this time.
"I've been practicing martial arts for these four years, Miss." he answered with an innocent face
Dyvette stopped laughing, okay, he's still stupid. Hopefully Lucas hasn't been contaminated with bad viruses from his training buddies.
"It's almost dark, we'd better get back before madam worries."
Dyvette nodded. "Okay, lets go home."
Lucas, why are you getting more handsome? You've changed a lot, Dyvette would love to say that, but her ego forbids it.
All night, Lucas accompanied her on the balcony, telling her many things. Who knows, since when they became close like that. Like old friends who just met after so many years.
Until finally Dyvette fell asleep and Lucas carried her to the bed. He wrapped Dyvette very carefully..
"How was your work today?"
Laila had been waiting for Lucas at the door of Dyvette's room when he had just left.
Lucas replied: "Everything is good, as Madame wishes."
Laila smiled happily.
"I haven't seen her this cheerful in a long time, thank you, Lucas. I expect a lot from you."
Laila left after patting Lucas on the shoulder twice.
Lucas was silent contemplating, his shoulders felt a lot heavier now.
