Gillian I held an old photograph in my hand, standing before the large mirror. My eyes traced every line, every shadow, comparing the past and the present. I had changed so much. The blue of my eyes had faded into golden brown. My black hair had lightened to a soft brown, though at least my naturally tan skin had remained unchanged. As I lingered on my reflection, a sudden idea sparked in my mind. I glanced at Freyah first. She was fast asleep, serene and completely unaware. I stepped closer, careful not to wake her.
