Chapter 3: Encounter

Third Person's POV;

The police, detectives, specialist, some crime scene investigators and the other who are the responsible of the duties arrives with an ambulance. The detective named Axel just came out from the car and searching for the three.

"Oh well, seems like this case is done." The guy with a cape came into the view, followed by his subordinates while carrying the two unconscious boys at their back, Ivan and Renji.

After Ran and Zen handed them to the medic team, they watch them flew away with their co-workers inside the ambulance van. Zen was hoping for them to see them healed again that's when he heard Axel's question.

"Yeah, but where have you been, Zen? And what happen with your clothes?" Axel frown, scanning the cross armed guy who's now in mess.

"I fought the jerk along with his two underlings." Zen rolled his eyes.

"Who?" The detective were confused.

"Blake." Kiel answered.

"Oh. So you really fought him? With Cian and Sage?"

"You know them?!" Zen's tone slightly raise.

"Yeah. Cian with a green hair and Sage were both hunters, working in a branch corporation of old brother's organization. I just saw them behind the school earlier and I thought I'm mistaken but proving that my hunch were right when you guys mentioned them." Axel explain.

"A hunter? Then why would they were with that demigod?"

"I don't know what happened but that was just a long time ago."

"Argh! Let me go! Damn it!" A shout of a boy caught their attention as he was having a hard time trying to resist from the grip of the two police.

Zen, on the other hand, got confused so he ask the detective if that was the culprit and the detective nod. Then he shows his evidence such as weapon, handprint and etc.

After an hour's passed by, everyone's taking a leave from the scene, with a culprit that caught successfully. While the three decide to stay at the place.

"Come. Hop in." The detective giving them a sign to enter the car.

"We still have something to do." Kiel says.

"Okay then. I'll take my leave." Axel responded and start to turn on the engine to drive away but Zen suddenly stopped him for a bit and asking.

"And by the way, what's with those things all about when you interrogate her anyway?"

"Oh I almost forgot to say this. I believe she was the witness for the incident happened in the Hydra Park. She also tell me about those strange thing she saw. And this case seems like a suicide but I think it's not. Gotta go now, let's talk about it later." He explained.

"Where you going?" Kiel ask.

"To old brother's office. Why? Wanna come?"

"Nevermind." Kiel turned his back and start to walk away as Ran follow him.

"Still a self-centered brat, heh!" Axel just huff in disbelief and close the window beside his seat.

"He is. Anyway, see you soon sire!" Zen waved his hands before quickly went into the two guys.

A few minutes pass by as the three wander around at night in the wilderness, Zen keep peaking at Kiel, especially at his crimson lips whenever the edges of his fangs shows up in every corner of the upper part.

"What are you looking at? Hmm?" Kiel ask without looking at Zen, making him to flinch and turn to the other direction.

"What? I didn't look at you." He start to whistles, putting his arms behind his nape and lean his head on it.

"I'm not asking you."

'What the...?! This jerk! I know he's literally asking me!' Zen became irritated.

"Obviously you are! Just who are you talking to? Ran?"

"Why did my name include in there?" Ran confusedly ask.

"See? I know it's not him you're preferring to!"

"So, do you accept the fact that you are really looking at me?"

And that's when Zen hit the realization, he's doomed. Regretting the words he says, he become silent.

"Am I right? Well, I'll give you a free look card for watching this prince closely." Kiel tap his chin.

"Darn it, no need." He rolled his eyes in frustration.

He was beside him and Ran was in the other side. As Ran just listening to the two, he realized that he was the only one wearing his regular cloth while they were wearing their uniforms.

"Oh. It's a cold night, please wear this, Zen." Ran spoke as he lend Zen's uniform.

A golden thread that connect to every shoulder from behind, with a crescent moon ornament in front on the left side that also used to hang the thread. They were covered in black, however, the inside have different colors with different styles.

Zen has a blazer, with the pale blue color inside. While Kiel has cape, with a crimson red color and lastly was Ran, wearing a oversized black T-shirt with a bluish-purple collar and being tied by the belt that has also a symbol of crescent moon. They all have the same belts.

"What will you gonna do here by the way?"Zen ask as he broke the silence.

"Hmm. It's isn't an important matter."

"Don't tell me you'll going to search for a human blood? No! I won't allow you to kill any innocent lives! Except for bad people or else, I'm going to be your enemy." Zen warned him but the vampire just laughed at the way how he defend them.

"What? You'll going to be my enemy? Haha! I bet! What a werewolf's thing." Kiel point himself.

"But let me tell you, humans are born selfish and they don't deserve to be protected especially by a mythical creatures like you. Funny how you said it." He calmly added and continue to walk.

And the tension between them started to become heavy as Zen's face instantly turn into dark as he stared at Kiel. However, Ran seems like his master and him are getting used to it. With their poker faces.

"So you're saying that you're willing to fight me?" His tone were also dangerous.

"Hmm, I don't know? Maybe? Maybe no? But somewhat........" Kiel pout like a kid who know nothing, not until his lips release an evil smirk and stare him back.

"Yes."

Silence corrupt them in a minute as their gazes was fighting. No one's talking because they'll gonna clash any time but suddenly, Zen was the first one who cut their staring contest.

"Fine! I lose darn it! But not all humans are selfish." He rolled his eyes in annoyance.

"So you're accepting your loss?" Kiel ask with his smirk didn't fade.

"I didn't say-"

The ground suddenly rumbled, and from afar was a loud roars coming from the monsters from nowhere and one were came out and instantly attacked Zen. Followed by a dozen group of the beast came out from the woods to their spot.

"I thought I'll be able to come the their hideouts but I did not expect they're attacking us already." Kiel pull some magic cards from his sleeves and throws it to their direction, creating a explosion.

One of his tricks were using those cards.

"Because you two are noisy." Ran calmly said before taking guns from the mid air and shot it to their direction.

One of Ran's ability is to wield any kind of weapons whether it came from his hand or in the space. He can summon weapons on how much he want unlimitedly without any incantation.

"You knew about this Kiel?! Why didn't you tell me?! And where is this freaking bitches came from?!" Zen struggled while dealing with a new wave of monsters.

"This is strange."Kiel mumbled.

"Master, the energy I sense is not seems to be normal. It's the same energy we fought for the past centuries, the energy of underworld's demons." Ran explain.

"What?! Are you saying that this all was from the Underworld?!" Zen exclaimed but because he's babbling, he didn't notice that one of the demon reached his arms, leaving a scratch.

Zen winced in pain and because of it, his form as a werewolf shows up. His hands become huge and furry that has as same color as his silver hair and also his poisonous nails grow long, sharp and dark.

The pupil was blazing in intense light gold, making a sign that he didn't yet reached the alpha strength level. His ears grow in every corner above his head and his tail, with his knees bend and turn into a feet of a wolf.

"Hoh, I thought they were already sealed." Kiel touch his chin, didn't care about his safety as they were surrounded.

Kiel just learned this habit when he's thinking something serious matter. Beside, he trust that Ran won't let him getting hurt.

"Master, as I remembered something I heard before, demons allow to step into the Earth as the portal that connect between the realms weren't sealed." Ran went to his direction and cover him at his back while he drop some information about the existence of the demons in the human realm.

"And beside, the portal that connect from the Earth to the Underworld can be created through the blood and shadow of a Duke nor a Lord neither God that were related to the darkness and this is also possible of it's disciple to open." He added.

"But gods can not be able to step here because they were being sealed at the Underworld by the powerful force but I don't know what kind of thing it is." Zen growled.

"Cut the crap. Let's talk about it when we come back. And Zen, you'll going with us searching for the portal later." Kiel snap his fingers, causing half of the demons groaning and screeching in pain.

"Okay!" Zen agrees then slit their heads and turning them into ashes and went to the direction of the two.

Kiel on the other hand, start to use his own ability, as an illusionist. His left hand were in his pocket as his right hand spreads and small fires came out from the ground they stepped on and form a big circle, enough for the three of them to fit in.

Even though he's an illusionist, he's ability was really real. As he raised his index finger, fire instantly extended and rush forward, creating a half damage within the area, followed by the automatic machine g*n.

"Leave the rest to me." Zen confidently smirk and jump into their heads and lashed out their heads with his claws.

As they completely cleared the zone, a sudden voice of a person they heard from afar. Zen was the first to react as his ears keep twitching and seems like he's searching for the voice.

"HELPPP!! Somebody! Please help us!"

Zen quickly dashed to their direction with Ran and Kiel. And they saw a boy with a unconscious girl lying in his arms while screaming for help and was being encircled by a group of monsters.

The Twilight instantly rid them all as they was about to having a feast to the poor guy that was weeping in terror. And Zen notice something in the man's arms, that's when he realized that it was the same girl who went to their along with Axel, the detective.

"What happened here?" Zen asked with his shocked reaction.

"Don't come near us! Just what....are you?!" The man shout while trembling, looking at them as they were a sort of demons.

"It's okay, we won't hurt you." Zen comfort the guy, making his face become weak.

"What are those ears? And your hands? And your feet then a thing behind your back?"

Kiel snap his fingers to trick the guy's eyesight with his illusion ability before Zen transform back into a human form.

"You're just mistaken." Zen lied.

"Anyway, let's get you out of here first."

"B-but... I'm scared! They might attack us again. I can't leave my friend!" He shook his head, saying he refuse.

"Hey, are you even a man?" Kiel frown and sarcastically ask.

"Kiel!" Zen shout at him.

"Then stand up. Fight. And survive. Protect what's precious to you without doubt or regret. Tsk! Humans, pathetic."

Zen pause a bit for what he heard. It's so extremely rare seeing and hearing Kiel pursued one of the creature he hated the most. He's witnessing a miracle within a seconds but he just didn't make it obvious to them.

"He's right. He was saying that man shouldn't be scared and never show their weaknesses. Am I right, Kiel? Ran?" He smile while looking at the two, waiting for their answer.

Ran nodded but the vampire just roll his eyes and putting his hands in his pockets, as usual.

After they convince the guy, they was walking at the long path full of trees to the station of the hospital, the guy carried the girl in his back while listening to Zen and whatever he talks about. The guy smile in comfort on how the way Zen gives a light atmosphere.

"So, your name is Andgry and she's your friend, Amethyst."

"Yeah but I call her with her nickname, Mei."

"Okay. So Kiel, I'm glad on what you're just saying at this Andgry guy earlier. As if fate already give a bit of fire in that frozen heart of yours despite for being annoying." Zen smirk.

"Shut up. I'll gonna cut your tongue later." His voice was full of threat.

"You're always been like that."

"We're here." Ran says.

And ahead of them was a lamppost and they we're now inside of the Hydra Park.

"Umm... About earlier, thank you."

"Oh, come on. You're always welcome." Zen winked at the guy while smiling widely.

"Anyway, see you soon. I'm grateful for your company." The guy was about to leave when Kiel call him.

"Hey."

Just as the boy turn to him, the vampire hang a circle pendant to make the human hypnotized. The guy keep staring at the beautiful thing without knowing he's entering into the delusional dimension, making him to knock off but Ran manage to catch the two.

"I won't allow a human to know our existence."

The werewolf smiles softly, he didn't complain. He knows him well, he really hate humans but he's wondering on what are the thing that made him pursue the human.

"Oh, so we'll going to leave them here?" Zen frown.

"What do you think?" Kiel calmly ask him back.

"What if something's happens to them?"

"Clear the area to secure."

The three of them leaving the best friend who's now sleeping in peace at the bench.
