Chapter 9: The Phantom Stalker's Administration

Mei's POV;

No one's talking after a gunshot create a loud bang. And I'm trembling in fear but still forcing myself to stand up while my hands shaking and fortunately, Andgry held my hand to help me keep my balance. And when I slowly regain my energy, a very beautiful woman appeared.

White hair in a messy ponytail, with a round sunglasses. Wearing all black, from the coat and to her t-shirt and pants. Two pistol that place in her left thigh while holding a rifle and walk towards our direction. I can feel her intimidating aura as the more she's getting close to us, the more I become nervous but I flinched and nearly jump when she passed through us, I can feel the sweat running down my face.

'Phew, that was close!'

"You should treat humans better, demigod. This fight is over, the three of you may take a leave. The rest will follow me." Her voice is as cold as ice that matched her beautiful face.

"And if we don't?" The guy with a sword ask.

"You already expelled from the corporation, so this is none of your business anymore."

"Follow her? Including us? Me?" I whisper to the guy beside me, Andgry while pointing myself.

"Hah! Still a frozen, Tereya?" The green haired guy ask, making the cold girl pause.

And to my shock, she grab her pistol and shot it to his zone but he immediately duck. Good thing he manage to avoid his death.

"You had the ability to control veins. Use it." She said.

"Nah, it would be worth if I don't use any defense when it comes to you." But she just gave him her stoic face.

"Come on, let's head over. And let's meet again, little girl." I blink as he look at me and eventually left.

The guy who pointed a dagger at Kiel earlier instantly vanished along with the green haired guy and the guy with a sword. Or katana, should I say. I went near to Kiel and ask him.

"Who are those guys?"

"Blake, Cian and Sage."

"Wait!" Zen went to the woman that was now walking ahead of us so we follow them behind.

"How about the portal? It isn't closed yet!" He added.

"I already call the police to put a label to the specific area, we'll gonna close it for later. So for today, let's head to the administrator, Mr. Reaper wanted me to bring you there."

"Why?"

"No more question. You know once you get there."

"Umm... How about-" I was going to ask but she already answered.

"Including you and that guy with you." I look at Andgry but he just shrug his shoulder, saying that he don't know.

A black car suddenly parks at our direction and revealed a handsome man with a shoulder length white hair. Giving us a signal to hop in the back.

'They maybe a twin or a siblings.'

We pass through the woody area for a few minutes before the road shows up the way. It was a silent ride, I was in the corner while Andgry sat next to me and then the rest, the three of them while that woman sat in the front.

It was so very silent that no one's dare to speak so I decide to put my eyes outside. And it was then Zen finally spoke.

"What do you think should we do, Kiel?" He ask but unfortunately, Kiel didn't give him attention so he just laugh awkwardly.

"What will you do by any chance?" I decide to go with the flow so that he would at least feel that he's not in the outer space.

"Ah! We'll gonna close that portal. Do you want to come with us and see how we do it?" He put a smile on his face while asking me that made my face bright.

"I would love to-" But Kiel cut me off.

"Stay away from the others business." He coldly said.

"What?"

"Mei, it isn't good to interfere a job for other people, right?" Andgry ask with a concern face, begging me not to involve.

After that, we became silent again for the second time as they continue to drive away.

We then arrived at the gate of the tall building with cars that park in every corner. The two got out so we follow them and enter.

As we went inside, people wearing business suit busy walking back and forth, and some even have paper in their tables. Also the others were dialing and their noises mixed up in the atmosphere.

"Hey Marie! Dark is here, don't you want to entertain him?" A girl called her co-worker that was busy typing and turn to our direction but eventually avoid our gazes.

"Shut up! Mind your own business." She hiss.

"Mr. Dark and Mrs. Tereya, to the room 1028." The woman just passed through them while the man, Dark claim the card that was put in the counter given by the caretaker of the entrance and follow her. So as we.

"Parang sunod-sunuran lang tayo nito ah! Ano sa tingin mo? (Seems like we've become their bodyguard ah! What do you think?)" Andgry whisper to me.

"Just shut up and follow them, we have no choice!" I respond and pinch his arms to shut him up.

"Aww!"

We walked to the crowded hallway and eventually found an elevator so we went to there as they press the number button and entered. After a couple of minutes, the elevator opened and didn't waste a time and headed to the destined room number.

As we reach the number, two guards wearing black suit open the door for us, revealing the ivory wall with a huge golden chandelier hanging in the ceiling. A large table in the center with lots of paper and a middle age man sitting in the swivel chair, holding a pen with his eyes stuck in the papers.

"Greetings, Mr. Reaper. We already brought them." They both bowed as the man's gaze land to us.

'Reaper? Sounds familiar.'

"You may take your leave."

"As you wish, sire," and they both departed.

"What do you want? Why did you call us?" Kiel ask.

"We'll discuss a matter. Come in."

We walked in and saw the entire room, glass wall on the left side and covered with a curtain, a glass table and three large sofa. The man stood and sat on the couch, waiting for us to come.

"I got the notification that you tried to close the portal."

"Yeah?"

"Where do you think it came from?"

"I bet you know." Kiel answered.

"Anyway, how's my little brother?"

"He was doing fine."

"I've invited him to come over but looks like he won't made it in time."

"He became busy. What will you gonna discuss anyway?"

"Uhh... Excuse me, sorry to interrupt your conversation but can we go out now?" Andgry ask, making me surprise.

"Andgry what are you talking about? They welcomed us so we should be grateful." I whisper.

"I don't like the atmosphere here. Let's get out, I also have something important matter to tell you." He answered in a very low voice, enough for me to hear so I nod and he grab my hand.

"Sure. You can go ahead." He then continue to speak to them as we close the door and got out.

"Did they just say 'Mr. Reaper'?" He suddenly ask while we're heading outside.

"I think so?"

"And did you also heard him saying 'little brother', aren't you?"

"Yes, he did. Why?" I can feel my brows frown.

"I know that man."

"Oh, I think he's the brother of the famous detective named Axel Reaper."

"Speaking of the devil, I just saw you with him last week and you both went to the cafe with..... Uh, maybe the cafe with his last name that was carved into. I wonder what does he wants to you?"

"Last week?" He nod.

"You even wear your favorite hoodie, the one with a 'Wildcat' print. I should have come near to you and ask you but I'm helping mom for some stuffs she buys so I've got no chance. What are you doing at that place anyway?"

His question confuse me a bit but an instant event suddenly entered my mind.

"Ah! You mean that day? He was asking me what I saw in the Hydra Park..... During the incident.....?" I blinked when the vision of my memory was getting clear.

"What do you mean incident?" His tone become serious.

"Andgry." I call him as we stop at the door.

"You might won't believe me but I'm starting to have some strange dream lately. I don't know when it should be called a dream but whenever it happens, an incident will occur. As if I know what was the reason of the event."

And to my surprise, he pat my shoulder, "you don't have to be afraid, you got me and I'm here. I got your back so say what you want to say to me, I trust you and I believe you."

"I was seeing things and even though I tried to put it in my mind that I was hallucinating, I can feel the pain as they dug their sharp nails into my flesh with their b****y eyes staring through my soul. I think I have become crazy seeing those monsters chasing me." My breath become

"I swear you'll be fine. I'm just worried on what's bothering you. But I've been thinking what was the reason why you suddenly got up in the middle of the night and went to the park knowing that place is dangerous."

"It's really hard to explain. Forget it." I sighed.

"Would you believe for what I'm saying?"

"Yeah, you seems not joking anyway. Just do me a favor." He said, making me turn to him.

"Anything you want."

"Could you not tell Rikkie about this?" I can sense his seriousness.

"Okay, but why?"

"This may be due to tiredness. Nevermind." I can hear he took a deep breath so I stop his doubt.

"No, no! You can say anything too, I'm willing to listen, just put it a secret."

"I also have a dream, no, I call it a nightmare. In the same place you mention, in the park. I meet them while some of the creature with a horrible appearance surround us while you suddenly fainted. Then they came as I shout for help and that guy with a long hair help me to get up. It was a hazy dream but I can feel it was real. I just couldn't remember every single detail."

"So you can also feel what I felt?" I ask and look above and saw the stars that twinkles with the moon that shine brightly, giving a light in the night.

"How about we'll go home now? It's already been 3 in the morning, shall we?" He ask and I nod.

"Oh! There you are! Wait for us!" We turn inside the building and saw them heading toward the entrance while Zen waved at us with his wide smile.

"He always seems lively in the three of them. Isn't he? Just like the three of us." I ask the guy beside me.

"Maybe that's what we really are." He release a grin.

We all got out from the gate and walk into the street that only the street lamp gives a light in the way. After a long walk and a silence, we finally arrive at the shop that has a familiar name sculpted above with a purple neon that tracing the patterns.

"We're here! Come on, you two should stop by here and have some coffee before returning to your house."

"Thank you but I think..... We should head home right now." I say, being ignored by the two that was now heading to the door.

"And beside, it's not quite far from here." Andgry added.

"Are you sure? I can make your favorite coffee." His smile slightly fade.

We feel a little bit guilty so we decide to agree and his face become bright like a kid that was being pleased by the candy. He then barge to the door and kick it, creating a loud this that makes us flinch and just chuckled.

"こんにちは、みんな！ ( Hello, everyone!)" He exclaim, making their phones almost thrown up in the air in the sudden disturbance.

"Aahhh!" One of them shrieks.

"ZEN! Can you enter like an average person?! You're freakin' me out!" Different reactions he takes but he just laughed.

And the rest of the night was full of happy moments than we expected it to be silent. They aren't bad at all. And beside, we meet another bunch of people who's fine entertaining with the customers.
