Chapter 7: Nowhere In The Dark

Third Person POV;

"Tell me, what are you?"

A calm voice spoke from nowhere in the place where there is no light, all dark. Along with a sound of one drop of water that echoed the whole space, asking the young woman with a confusion fill inside her eyes.

A memory of her a minutes ago suddenly appears in her mind. Recalling for her friend's inquiry, Andgry. Asking about on what was going on.

("Hey, Mei. Did you observe some odds?" The boy lying in the couch ask while it's gaze was locked outside through the open window with his tired eyes.

They become quiet, thinking some strange things they find weird while waiting for someone to speak again.

"As I say, those guys seems familiar as if I know them."

"Did you mean..... Those three guys at the Café?" Mei ask as her eyes stick at the ceiling that was hit by the moonlight.

"Yeah." Andgry nod as a response.

"When?"

"Maybe between saturday or sunday. I can't tell it properly."

"Same. I also got a feeling that I've already knew them before you do." Her eyes was slowly closing due to fatigue.

"But you know what? I dreamt about some monsters. I try to cover you up then they charge but were eventually thrown up and you collapsed." His voice went weak.

"Hilarious." Mei only respond as she close her eyes and almost her voice a whisper.

"Trust me, it all seems real. And they appeared, those three appeared that makes me said..... They are so familiar."

"Just say it tomorrow, I'm tired. Can't listen properly either."

"I hope so. But my guts telling me that I should say it now, maybe tomorrow..... I might forget it."

"But as it happened..... I notice that there's a matter change in...." The boy's voice weaken and seem like any minute, he'll fall into a deep sleep.

But before they does, a word came out his tongue. "You." And their conscious finally shut down.)

"Ah, I see but why did my memory instantly appear inside my dream?" She mumbled.

And feel the presence of someone that watch her through the dark, then looking around until she finally got the courage to speak up.

"Who are you? Show yourself!"

"Answer at least the question given to you."

"I'm just a regular student. Nothing special. Wait, where am I?"

She roam her gaze around but spot nothing and only the emptiness, only to feel the coldness in the seemingly endless void.

"In the deep part of you."

It answered, making her to blink in a few times.

"Ha? Anyway, can I get out now?"

"Why? Are you perhaps in hurry?"

"No. You just creeping the hell out of me."

It chuckled. Because of her answer.

"Then my apologies for creeping you out. But I'm afraid I can not."

"What?! So means I'm gonna trap here forever?!"

"I never say so."

"So get me out of here!"

"I just summon you yet you already want to leave?"

"So badly." She roll her eyes.

"Okay, if that's all you want, I won't force you to do so. You can leave anytime but aren't you curious about me?"

"Oh.... As I say so, who are you?"

"Why don't you look for yourself?"

"What? How could I suppose to see if anything here is just empty and all black?"

"I know you'll see a thing in the middle of the void."

"I said....."

"Who-" She was about to exclaim when a tree caught her attention that was standing all alone in the empty dark place and nothing else.

"Uhh..........?"

At first, she was hesitant to come near to it so she ask the mysterious voice earlier.

"Hey, can you tell me what's with there?" But she haven't got an answer.

She sighed, clutching her fist and build her courage as she slowly walk to it's spot. As she approached the tree, she realize that the tree was indeed short, with a length of 7 feet.

From the large size of roots to the trunk, up to it's branches and it's leafs. She watch it as she was mesmerized to the silver tree that was shining without a reflection from anything.

However, another thing in the tree caught her view. Hundreds of threads that has the same color of the tree hanging on the root. But as she follow the pattern, it lead her to a person that was sleeping peacefully while lying under the tree at the other side.

She immediately hide herself as her heart beat quickly in suddenness. She become nervous in an unknown reason and at the same time, longing, and got the desire feeling to see the face again but yet, she's trying to block it through holding herself from looking at the person. Her mind went chaotic and even though she indeed in her usual self, she can't explain on what she felt and can't understand that feeling. So she decide to take a peek.

And she confirm that it was a man wearing a robe with a solid color of ice, along with his silver long hair that has a hint color of blue, covering some parts of his body that she thought of was some threads, and has a pretty face, eyebrows and lashes that has a same color as his hair, a perfect structure of nose that matched his pale skin perfectly.

"Master." A word escape from her mouth, making her gasp in shock and scolded herself inside of her mind.

"What the f**k am I talking about?! s**t, I need to get out of here. I need to wake up!"

She was about to turn her back and walk away when a calm and soft but cold voice speak.

"Wake up what?"

She instantly lost her balance in panic and ended up in the ground. But to her surprise, it doesn't even hurt as if her body went numb.

She could even see her reflection on the glassy black floor along with a tree. And came to the realization when she tried recalling on what happened and why did she ended up in the place.

"Uhm..... Excuse me Mister but did you know the way out of here?" She humbly ask the man as she was standing beside the tree and waiting for his answer.

He then open his eyes that reveals his unique pale lavender iris. She was struck by his ethereal beauty as his gaze land on hers, making her knees trembling and froze.

"Uhhh.....?"

Only the words came out from her mouth as her mental state went insane like crazy.

'Damn, why is he so much more prettier than a girl?'

"Don't be deceive by the look, it will kill you." He flash a faint smile that causing her to stutter.

"H-ha?"

"Hmm?" He hum as his left eyebrow slightly raise.

"Ahem! Can you send me out of here?" She cut out her fantasize of him.

"I can but you can't really leave without my permission."

"So you're the one who speaks earlier, are you?"

"Exactly." Her face shows confusion.

The man rise and putting both of his hands in his back, makes his knee-length silver hair flows and confront her with his stoic face.

"What do you want? Why did you call me?"

"I want you to know that the world was coming to an end." The man answer, making her scoffed.

"Pfft hahaha, are you seriously? You just summon me to say this? Are you a prophet? Or an angel?" She sarcastically ask.

"As my disciple, it's my responsibility to inform you what will gonna happen."

"Whoa, you're just mistaken, Mister. I'm not your disciple and you're not my Master nor Lord or whatsoever it is. And I don't have any one who owe my life with." Mei protest and she added, "I. Don't. Care. Of what will gonna happen in this world."

However, the man just sighed heavily and start to walk around.

"You probably don't get my point, are you?"

"Neither you are. I said I don't care."

"I repeat, as your Master, I shall assign you to a mission that you must accomplish. To stop the destruction of the Earth before that will occur in the future."

"And if I don't?" She cross her brows.

"Imagine the scene with all of your love ones, dying in the most painful death while you, hopelessly watch them as they're slowly getting perished. And you'll going to suffer for eternity by the upcoming phenomenon." He turn his back.

As for he said, making her essential being consumed in fear. She can also feel the unwillingness inside her. Thinking about it broke her heart, so she choose to behave well and listen to what the man says as she got the chance to change the horrible future.

"Then what will I do?" Her face become calm but the desperation in her voice overwhelmed and the man can feel it.

"Follow as I say. You're going to meet the three guys from the different races. From the moment you'll meet them, your paths will combined. So means, they'll tag along with you and you'll going to tag along with them in your journey in this world."

"Guys? You mean they're all boys?"

"Yes. Beside, they were smart enough to protect you from any troubles you'll encounter."

"Can I trust you?"

"It's all depend on you."

"Okay..."

"Any problem?"

"Nothing! It's just uhh... How can I say this...?"

"Don't worry, we're going to meet for another time if I summon you again."

"Yeah, but.....what are you? Why do I feel this feeling like I was bound to meet you? As if we had a connection before...or I'm just imagining things..?" She hissed, "nevermind!"

"That's a bond between a Master and his disciple."

"What?" The girl ask, still she don't understand everything.

Then the man smile.

"You will know me soon."

"But-"

He genuinely smiles at the girl as her vision start to getting blurry with the image of the silver tree fades along with a man who claimed her as his disciple.

"Wait!"

And she was about to touch him when the scenario instantly vanished in a blink of eye and only to found herself in the burning areas where the three fought with the monsters.

"Who are you?"

A black haired tall guy with an intimidating voice ask her through the distance away, enough for her to heard it. She look at the place while trying to analyze of why did she end up there and just froze when someone speak up.

"I said who are you?" He ask again.

"Kiel! Stop it, you're scaring her!"

Another tall guy came into the view, just like the man she saw in her dreams, he also has a silver hair but just pure and a shorter one in a different style. Followed by another guy which has the same height as the two in his side and has a noticable hair which cover his entire eyes and with a single braid in the right side.

"Ah...?! I-i... I-i'm just p-passing by!" She explained but the guy just his eyebrows.

"Wait. You're kinda familiar. We seems to saw you before. Are we, Kiel?" The silver haired guy stared at her.

"Eh?" Only her respond.

"She is." He answered.

"I knew it! You were that girl who was with Axel and also that night-"

"Zen."

He was about to point his finger to her when Kiel suddenly stopped him.

"My bad. Err...just only that thing, as I say." He then just shakes his hand and puts it down.

"Excuse me, you know that detective?" Mei ask.

"Totally. His name is Axel Reaper, the famous detective."

"O...kay?"

"Pardon for our rudeness, by the way, my name is Enzo but you can just call me Zen. This guy beside is Ran." Zen point the guy with a noticable hair.

"And this guy is," he smile widely then put his left arm in the guy's shoulder with a annoyed face and introduce him, "Ezekiel Gotham-"

"Oh shut the f**k up." Kiel pushed his face off then cross his arms and roll his eyes.

"Yeah, you can call him Kid but Ezekiel is nicer one. Hehe. And who are you?"

"I'm..... Amethyst. But call me Mei if you find it hard."

"And what are you doing here?" Kiel straightforwardly ask.

"I... don't know, I swear! I was just in my room but when I awake, I ended up here."

"Hmm, perhaps sleepwalking?" Zen pout his lips and looking sideway which makes the girl found it cute.

"Not either. This area's too far from the buildings. It's impossible for someone to reach here while it's mental state is unconscious."

"Master, I can feel the same energy here. Should we continue to search?"

"Ha?" Zen blink.

Kiel moved to meters distance away from the two as Ran follow him behind. They talk in a very low.

"What do you mean?" Kiel ask, almost a whisper.

"I can feel the same flow between the portal and that girl." Ran calmly answered.

"You think someone send her?"

"I don't think she's lying too. We just saw how the way she talks. But how is it possible?"

"I also sense a familiar flow of energy earlier in that flames. Well, let's just ask some details without being notice."

"Got it, Master."

Just then they were about to go back when suddenly, the ground shake.

"What's happening?" Mei ask in panicked.

Kiel smirk and was expecting something to show in front of his eyes.

"And there it goes."

Then monsters showed up from everywhere.
