Chapter 8: Hydra Park

Third Person POV;

Roaring sounds, rustling trees and shaking ground happens in the midnight without those normal being feel and acknowledge the incident that occurs in the park. With the four of them in the depth part of the forest, surrounded by diabolical creatures that crossed the portal between the two world.

"Not again!" Zen exclaim.

"I-it's that monsters?!"

Afraid written in Mei's face seeing horrible creature. The two reach their spot as they already figure out something.

"Ran." Kiel call him and Ran nod.

He slowly spread his arms and unclasp his hands while focused on unleashing his abilities. Then weapons such as swords, spears, or any other types of weapons start to appeared while floating in the air around them.

"Eh...?! What..... How....?" Mei's eyes widened, seeing some unbelievable moments makes her stutter.

And then Kiel, on the other hand throws a card that instantly become pieces as he close his fist and stick to every weapon, making it burning in flame. As Ran press both of his hands, all of it flew everywhere, stabbing monsters that was running towards their direction and vanished in the thin air.

"Hmm. Why don't you just show yourself up here instead of making this useless stuff? Are you afraid?" Kiel smirk while walking calmly as both of his hands inside of his pocket.

Then they heard a chuckle, somewhere. As expected, a guy came out behind the tree, clapping his hands with a grin that already formed his lips.

"Haha excellent! As expected from the Gothic prince. " He continue to clap but the vampire just raise his eyebrow.

"Oh, hello Blake. Nice to meet you...again?"

"That's not a nice way to greet a good friend." The guy frown.

"Pft hahaha! You? A good friend? Are you kidding me?" Zen wickedly laugh.

"What's going on?" Mei whisper to Ran.

"I bet they'll going to fight after this. So please calm and don't make yourself hurt." He answered and they turn to the rest that was fighting.

"Oh shut up, dog. I didn't ask you."

"At least I'm not such as pathetic as you." Zen rolled his eyes and cross his arms.

"What did you say?! Speak it one more time if you have a death wish!" Another guy with a sword behind his back suddenly appears.

"Oh we meet again! As I say so, and a support along with you, eh? Nice! Where's the other one?" Zen ask.

"Hello there, looking for me?" A green haired guy above the tree was now looking to their direction.

"Hey Cian! Come down here!" The guy with a sword call him.

"Shut up Sage. Don't mention my name in front of them, they don't deserve to know me."

"Tsk!" Sage just respond in annoyance.

"We're not interested for whoever you are and whatever your name is. Why are the three of you here?" Zen frown with his brows slightly raise.

"It's none of your business."

"If I were you, I would cry and go get some help." Cian laugh with full of mockery.

"Too bad, we're not you." Kiel answered, making them shut.

"Oh, Kiel. I bet they're kinda scared, they even didn't show themselves right away if you haven't spoke." Zen sarcastically smiled at them.

"Who's scared?!" Their faces was now in rage, being provoked by Kiel's words.

Sage was about to swing his katana at Kiel when suddenly, arrows shoot towards their direction. Cian immediately grab him and creating a barrier through veins.

"Step aside, we'll gonna destroy the portal."

Kiel went into their direction and was about to pass through the barrier when veins start to charge him but eventually cut and chopped off by the sharp sword held by Ran.

"We won't let you." Blake chuckled and they start to clash.

Ran catches Sage's attack for Kiel and ended up the two fighting while Zen swung his claws to Cian when he tried to harm Ran with his ability to manipulate roots. On the other hand, Blake start to use his ability as a vision controller to the vampire.

"Damn it! Why you interfering with our business here?!" Zen yell while avoid the incoming strikes from Cian.

"No one's allowed to close that gate!"

Zen almost cursed when the sharp vein nearly pierced through his arms.

"Don't you know how dangerous is that thing?! How can you still say it?!"

"Why did you ask me?! We're just following an order!"

Cian answered, making Zen pause for a seconds but they still continue to fight, didn't care whoever hear their conversation.

"An order from who?" Kiel ask, enough for his enemy to hear what he speak.

"That's none of your care." Blake answered while trying to throw him to any stone that was floating above but the vampire just evade his attack and land wherever.

"Damn, how many times I'll say that you were just their pawns."

"Quiet, useless bloodsucker. You don't know everything."

"I don't care about that."

"You don't? Then why did you want to break that portal?"

"That thing is critical."

"Are you saying it will harm humans? I see, you do care about them. Perhaps, they're your prey. Hah! How selfish of you, Ezekiel." The prince become silent but not because he was affected by his words.

On the other point of view, Mei seems having trouble catching up their fight. Their moves are way too fast that almost become blurry from her sight. She tried to stop them but a thought crossed her mind.

'What ability do I have to stop them anyway. Beside, that no eyes guy tells me not to involve. I hope we'll be fine.'

In the middle of conflicts, she don't sense any of the uneasiness feeling. At first, she didn't really believe in those kinds of inhumane powers and abilities, just her imagination. But now, something's unbelievable incidents happen and even witness it in the real life.

Nevertheless, she also has the thought of when did she start to seeing things and cannot believe that even her, a regular student who do nothing in her whole but studying suddenly involved in such a matter for an instant. But one thing confused her.

"Why didn't I get surprised looking at this scene? Maybe if other people witness this, I'm sure they'll gonna be freak out or be thrilled but..... Why can't I? I feel like an omniscient character in the book that was expecting the fantasy to occur in the reality shows." She mumble when a memory strike to her mind.

"Wait, they're kinda familiar. Did I really meet them before? Just when? Come on Mei, think hard..."

"What are you thinking about?"

She yelp when someone was speaking on her back but it immediately hold her mouth, telling her to stay silent and force her to turn around. What came into her sight was the handsome face of the vampire prince, gripping her small arms.

"Heh...? How is it... possible?" She keep looking at the man in front of her and the one who fought with the elite.

"Don't worry, I already create my clone to fight. It's an illusion." He answered.

"Whoa, nice. A clone that can move so fast."

But to her surprise, he grab her wrist with his cold hand and a hole suddenly appeared beneath their feet that made her scream to the top of her lungs as they fall down to the void. She close her eyes as her heart thump loudly in panic especially she had a phobia in height.

"AAAHHHH!! I DON'T WANT TO DIE YET!!"

"Stand properly."

"I CANNOT!!"

"Then you fall."

"We're already falling!"

"Just follow what I said!" Kiel hiss.

Even with her trembling knees, she force herself to stand straight and calm. Only then she can maintain her balance. After listening to him, she can feel the flow and her state become stable again.

He let go of her but seeing her hesitant face he gave the signal that it's alright and that's when she build her bravery to let him go.

"Uhh... Where are we?" She roam her gaze around and saw nothing but all black just like in her dream, nothingness. It was so dark that only the man who was standing behind her is the only one she can see.

"We were inside the black dimension. Now say-"

"Black dimension- oh..... Is there something you want to say?"

"Let me straight to the point, what's so special about you?"

"What so special about me?"

"You don't know?" He frown.

"There's nothing special about me. I don't also have the ability to control a small thing."

"You're lying."

"I'm not! Look, I'm just a normal person and I bet you can also say that."

"Hmm, I know that but I really sense something deeper within you. It's just faint like trying to conceal it's vitality." He rubbed his chin without cutting his eyes off her.

"What are you by the way?" Mei ask.

"Me?" Kiel point himself and the girl nod.

"I'm a vampire. To be specific, I'm a prince, a vampire prince."

"A vampire? Do they suck bloods?"

"What do you think? Vampires don't live without blood anyway." He smirked as he shows his fangs. Her eyes become large in horror.

"But don't worry, I won't suck your blood if you wish to live. You even scream thinking that you'll going to die." He said and her reaction turn into embarrassment.

"Yeah, hehehe," she just laughed awkwardly " uhm, how about that no eyes guy, and the other one?"

"No eyes? You mean Ran? And that other guy is Zen?"

"Maybe? They told me their names but I forgot, including yours."

"Oh, my bad, let me introduce myself again. You can call me Kiel and that no eyes guy is Ran and that long haired guy is Zen. As for you think, we're not humans. Ran is a ghoul, for real. While Zen, is a werewolf. I think you know that as well. Don't you?"

"I know just by guessing at your appearance. Because who wouldn't when y'all even a legend?"

"As I say."

"Ahh, I get it." Mei point her finger, making Kiel frown.

"Get what?"

"There's a strange dream of mine about me, talking to the man with an appearance of a lady."

"Hmm?" His eyebrows raise.

"I swear that dream is really vivid. He really look like a girl, with a long silver hair that reached below his knees and a pale lavender eyes! He even told me that I'm going to meet the three boys from different races this night!" She explained, making Kiel pause.

"What?"

"Did you know him?" She blink.

"And what does he says?"

"He says that my path and their paths will gonna cross. Forever." The girl look down, while thinking carefully and Kiel's face broke into realization, like he finally figured out something.

"Hoh~ so that's why."

"Eh?"

"Let's go back."

"Wait! Do you really know him?"

"Indeed. I did."

"Ah, okay? But they're fighting outside."

"They can take care of themselves. So hurry up or you'll be left alone here."

Another hole appear below them but this time, it's not all black, it was filled with grass they stepped before falling to the space. Kiel jump to there and followed by Mei until they return to the exact scenario.

Ran fought with Sage while Zen avoiding Cian's attack and Blake wasn't in the view. Mei turn around to search him but couldn't find even his presence. Therefore, she turn to Kiel but just saw a blade that already point at his neck.

"Kiel!"

"One move or I'll kill him." Blake chuckled.

"Hoh~ you still have the guts to threaten a girl, huh?" The vampire was now smirking.

"Tsk! Humans can easily be fooled as for you know." He whisper behind his ear.

"What the heck? You really does underestimate humans? **** (I tell you), we're also a human. We can do what we want, we can talk and think! Think! You son of b***h we're not an animal!" Mei yell while point her finger out of frustration at Blake that was speechless, making the four boys who was fighting earlier turn to their direction.

He scoffed, "What the, you really are something, huh? You can even speak Chinese and point that finger to me despite the situation that was happening, you surely are interesting. Haha!"

"Well, too bad he's at my hands now-"

"MEI! What are you doing here?!" Another voice exist along with the familiar face.

"Andgry?! Why are you here?!" She ask, cannot believe that

"Let me the one that ask you what are you doing here? You were supposed to sleep but the hell you freaking me out when you suddenly got up and went to.....to here?!" He approach her.

"Good thing I followed you but man you're so fast when walking. I almost lost my sight of you. Just what the hell is wrong with you?"

"Oh? Who is he? Your boyfriend?"

"He's not my boyfriend!"

"Based on what he said," Blake pointed Andgry, "are you perhaps sleepwalking? But that's impossible you know. You really an interesting little one."

"Let's get out of here." Andgry was holding her wrist and should have grab her

"Whoa, no one's leaving." Blake smiled, letting go of Kiel while blocking the way with his arm.

"And who are you?" The boy's voice turn cold while looking at him with a threatening gaze. He then tighten his grip.

"Don't be. You two looks like a brother protecting his little sister from trouble." He look at the two firmly.

"Actually it is." Andgry answer, still his face didn't change.

"**** (I tell you), don't. Not even to attempt so."

"I don't care. Get out of the way-" he was about to let go of his grip but Mei instantly understand his actions so she quickly grab him back and holding his arms tightly, and shaking her head.

"Andgry please. Just let us leave now-"

"I said no one's leaving!"

As Blake exclaim, a gunshot was echoing through the forest. No one's moving for a while. They seems to paralyzed due to the loud bang that suddenly fire out of nowhere.
