Bucharest was in chaos; security was at an unprecedented level for the Olympics as the procession of black SUV’s rolled quietly into town. Vladimir turned to Borys and said, ‘We’ll need a base to work from, somewhere close to the security perimeter. Head for Ferentari, it’s an industrial area close to the city – we can take over a factory. It’ll be quiet there, lots of businesses will have closed down for the Olympics.’ Tired after their long overnight drive from Kiev, the men all needed a break and a debrief before the next stage of their mission.
