Viktor and Brittney woke at the c***k of dawn. Desperate for news of Tommy, Brittney grabbed the phone and called Tommy’s number before she’d even got out of bed. Still the line was dead, no response.
‘Damn it! Why won’t he answer? We have to go to the meeting point Viktor; I can’t stand being here any longer,’ said Brittney.
‘You’re right, Brittney, but let’s have some breakfast first. We’ve got a big day ahead of us and we don’t know when we’ll be able to eat next.’
‘Alright, but let’s make it quick and then hit the road.’
‘Uh, excuse me,’ came a voice from the corner. ‘But what do you plan to do with me? I’m still tied up, you know.’
‘I know. We’ll let you go when we leave, which is more than you deserve,’ replied Viktor.
