A MAID OF TRUE HONOUR

Episode 2

As I left my room I overheard rumors of the arrival of King Anthony and his son, Prince Nathan.

Then I knew I had to fasten my steps cause the palace is large and the princess chambers is not on these floor, after running I got to the princess door then I knocked and entered, I received a very hard slap on my cheek.

Ouch i cried out, as I felt my cheeks burning I felt tears run down my cheeks as she did like it was nothing and ordered we meet her mother, immediately she left her room.

mom's chamber is a bit far from hers, it is stationed on the first floor the left wing of the palace hers is the second floor the right wing.

She led the way while I followed, it is at the stairs she saw her mom, on seeing her she tried explaining her reason for being late, her mom ignored her and left.

She followed behind, at the entrance of the throne room the Queen halted her movement causing everyone ( Nana pat, I and two solders) to join her.

Then she told the princess to be in her best behavior as she entered the room, she and her daughter went forward to welcome them the moment they entered while we waited behind.

Maya's POV

i can't wait to meet that bastard that wants to separate me from the man of my dreams... And mom looks so happy, so irritating.

Mom why don't you just let me court the prince to find out if there are any flaws in him that I can't manage.

" Its you that should be worried if he can condone your flaws cause they are bad, sneaking out at night to be with that riff raff while pretending to have gone to bed and fooling everyone in the palace, you can fool them darling but you can't fool me".

" you thought i wouldn't know right, well next time tell that silly excuse of a maid that she should try and do a proper job covering up for you".

I am in big trouble.

Just then the king and the prince were ushered in by the guards... OMG Prince Nathan is so handsome.

I looked at the princess to see what her facial expression will be all I could see was a nonchalant look.

Prince Nathan POV

Hmmmn so this is the princess whom I'll be marrying so I'll mannered, and a bit fat and she can't even greet .

You are welcome my king and my prince,i feel so honoured to have you grace my kingdom. I am very sure this union will bring happiness between our kingdoms, the queen said.

I agree with you, the Prince is more happy about this union he just can't wait to marry your priceless jewel and take her to his bed I must say , the king said. both laughed, as the queen took them to the dining hall were lots of varieties were made in respect of the king.

Yet I had doubt in what the king said about the prince feelings towards princess maya, I will find out what he feels towards my princess I muttered to my self.

If not for anything, I could remember years back when the princess loved a guy and he didn't love her back I was questioned for not finding out on time which caused me to be punished. just then I heard a clash, snapped out of my thought just to see the princess walking out of the hall. I ran after her trying to calm her down just to receive a slap and was pushed i felt humiliated but who am I to have feelings as I kept following her till we got to her room. she stomped on her bed and that was it I didn't hear from her as she had slept. i turned and went to my quarters as I held my cheek which still ached from the slap.

Princess Maya's POV

How dare that nasty I'll mannered, bratty prince think he can taunt me like that , who gave him the leverage to do that, what nonsense. And mom just joined them in laughing at the nasty jokes they made about me. He said I look like a chubby pig (sobbing). I will never marry him.

Prince Nathan's POV

My beautiful queen is that how your daughter behaves not what i expected, pls can I be directed to my room. So much for getting married.

And he was directed by one of the guards to the room on the same floor as the princess in fact they were neighbors but on his way to seeing his room he bumped into me looked at me from head to toe and sighed then signaled the guards to continue as he walked past me.

I had to go to the dining room to know what conspired between those two, since I knew quite well that my attention was no longer needed there I had to make sure I am not caught. I have been in this kingdom so I know virtually all the shortcuts to every room.

At last I made it but wait a second, where is the king? Oh there he is but why is he.... OMG kissing the queen what is happening in this , i knew then that it should be the right moment I take my eyes away but no I am very inquisitive i decided to watch more to find out why they were doing that, then I saw his hand moving under her gown the kissing was so intense, all of a sudden the queen stopped, she seemed worried.

Anthony, do we always have to be together in secret? What if the kids learn about the truth sooner or later what would we do?

Most times I keep feeling sad about taking the life of Donald, giving the fact that he and your elder brother were the reason I couldn't be with you.

Why are you getting our daughter married off to your step son? it isn't right. The queen lamented.

I was shocked what is happening, so king Nicholas was right afterall the queen is the sole murderer of her husband the king. What a world who would believe that she did that and on top of that she is trying to get two siblings married. Just then I was cut short in my thinking as king Anthony answered the queen.

Rachel they will be fine all we need is to achieve our goals through them then we have them spilt. They won't be married for long highest a week all you have to do is keep them away from them selves, while we launch a plan to bring down Nicholas , now darling where were we? He laughed.

What a world I think I have heard and seen enough for one day I need to check on the princess to see if she is awake or if she needs something....
