CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR Gary Larson lived in the Palm Towers. Two chrome and glass modernistic behemoths that overlooked the Brown River north of the city and just across the city line into the county. Ugly looking things that rose up off the riverbank like the afterthought of a god discarding a pair of broken tongs. The six storied apartment towers had only two things going for them.
