CHAPTER NINETEEN Harrison was leaning against the side of his vehicle. The light bars on the cars bathed the old Mason factory and surrounding area in intermittent flashes of blue and red, cutting through the darkness. Sheriff Harrison had responded to the call because he was close by at the mine doing another sweep making sure it was secure. The coroner, Sue Blackford, was making her examination. The crime scene forensics side of things was being handled by Warren Green. In his last post, he learned how to collect evidence and work a crime scene, and Harrison was happy to let him do it. Harrison looked over to the approaching lights of a vehicle and pushed himself off the side of his car. The car stopped, and the headlights dimmed, so only the sidelights showed.
