The sun was setting and the wind was blowing it was the middle of autumn it was the night of Rose's birthday

Rose was going to celebrate her birthday at an expensive restaurant David had arranged for her even though it was last minute he still managed to get in as to surprise her.

no matter how much of a player he was he knew there was something different about Rose and something that always warmed his heart every time, he just wanted to see her happy , he saw how much she cried the last time they had a misunderstanding and it broke his heart.

he was on a date with her and one of the girls he used to previously date showed up and caused quiet a scene claiming that he and her were still together Rose got upset and ran off before he could even explain himself and her friend showed up and hit him as well it was a mess .

she was a kind sweet girl and even though when he first met her he never had the intention of having anything serious with her , as time went by he slowly started falling for her and tonight was her special day he was going to treat her good .

Rose was getting ready for her birthday night in her apartment .she wore a pastel green short dress that reached her thighs ,it was flared from the waist down . she paired it with some black stylish high heels and a black purse with a long chain ,which she hang on her shoulder, pulling her hair into a high ponytail giving her face a fresh lifted look she looked simple yet elegant at the same time

" Come on Cyan you promised , ....its my birthday do this for me please" she stood by Cyan's bedroom door and nagged at her friend to come with her for her birthday dinner with David , she knew Cyan never went out at all especially on dinners.Cyan never even had a boyfriend which Rose never understood why cause her friend was absolutely beautiful and any guy would die to be with her . But Cyan never even looked at men or women either .she tried to set her up on several dates with some good guys she knew but the girl would always find a way to avoid them ,

Rose thought Cyan was probably scared of something she couldn't figure out what it was but ever since she met Cyan she never saw her associate with other people other than her which she understood perfectly ,

she thought that maybe Cyan was running away from people who hurt her in the past and even though they were best friends Rose never tried to ask her about the life she had before they met , ever since then the two became inseparable.

but tonight was different it was her 23rd birthday and no matter what she wanted her friend to loosen up a little and celebrate her special day with her

"Rose just send me to war "

"Anything love ill do anything but dinner with your boyfriend aaaahhh "

Cyan lay on her bed burying her face in pillow even though she promised her friend that she would go out with her on her birthday she really didn't want to socialise it was always awkward for her ,she never had a normal upbringing or lived with people while growing up so she never knew how to really act during such events like dinners or parties .

her life was completely different from Rose

Cyan always thought Rose was the opposite of her

while Rose's life was sweet and warm like the sun

Cyan's was dark and cold like a rainy night

she always wondered how a person like her still existed being 'fearlessly kind' was Rose's superpower she always thought.

she lifted her face and saw her friend standing there with those big brown eyes and an anxious look of longing on her face and her heart melted a little even though she didn't want too she figured she could at least suck it up and go to dinner just for tonight what's the worst that could happen

"fine ill come with you"

the minute she said that Rose smiled her brightest smile and pulled her up from the bed excitedly.

" come" she said while dragging her to her room " ill help you get ready"

"Whats wrong with what am wearing " Cyan asked as she looked at her self and she thought she looked okay

"Cyan its a dinner at a nice restaurant okay you need to dress up just for tonight"

Rose looked at the clothes her friend was wearing some black denim jeans, a black long sleeved shirt and some doc martens boots even though she looked cute this was definitely not a dinner outfit

"yes mam"

Cyan said mockingly as she let herself get dragged by Rose.

Rose gave her friend a variety of dresses to pick from and only one caught Cyan's attention it was a black Foley mini dress with string straps and a slit at the front

she tried on the dress which showed her slim figure and small curves..

Cyan was taller than Rose so this dress showed her long legs she decided wearing thigh high boots should look better and they would cover her legs a lot but also to give her an edgier look .

straightening her hair and added lose curls and the end , Rose insisted on doing her make up.. which matched her outfit perfectly and added some color on the lips it made such a difference.

Cyan stared at her self in the mirror not remembering the last time she wore a dress cause well.. you can't fight in a dress .

as she looked at herself in the mirror wondering what she would have been like if her life was normal

for the first time she actually thought of what normal girls her age ever felt like to not be hunted down and have a price tag on your head since the day of your birth ,she didn't know what she was feeling at that time .but just for tonight she wanted to be like them to feel free like them and to be normal

just for tonight she couldn't be the girl those monsters were after ..tonight she was a girl accompanying her only friend for her special day

'Just for tonight' .She though as she smiled and turned to look at Rose who was looking at her with bright eyes

obviously stunned at how gorgeous Cyan looked , she had never seen her that dressed up.

"wow!!!!!!... are you a goddess or something

.you look freaking beautiful ..if i didn't have a boyfriend i would ask you to marry me right away too" Rose teased her friend she couldn't help it

"don't be ridiculous now you're the one who is a goddess not only are you pretty but you have a kind heart too ,happy birthday hhuhh" Cyan was really thankful for this friend of hers

"hey smooth talking and wishing me 'happy birthday' for the 100th time today isn't an actual present i want a real present"

before Cyan could even respond to her silliness the door bell rang and Rose excitedly rushed to open it

Cyan simply followed behind her knowing full well who it was.

David had sent a driver to pick up the birthday girl and some flowers too

he couldn't come in person because of work but he was going to meet her at the restaurant .

Rose received the Roses and smelled them she turned to Cyan and smiled she was really happy tonight, quickly she grabbed her friend by the arm and followed the driver to the parking lot of her apartment.

the girl wouldn't stop talking the entire ride and Cyan simply listened to her never ending stories

a few moments later they arrived at the restaurant .
