"Okay class, if any of you want to drop out of this class. Please do it before the regular deadline" I smile looking straight at Dylan, who smiles. I think he got the memo. I know starting the class by talking about dropout isn't the best option. But I'm trying to send a message to Dylan. I want that guy to know how much I don't want to see him again. "Any questions?" One of the girl raise her hands. She can easily pass as a Kardashian. She is skinny expect for her enormous boobs and butt "Yes?" I turn my attention at the girl. "What's your name" "Caroline" she retorts while pushing back her long chocolate brown hair behind her shoulders. "What's you question, Caroline?". I unconsciously touch my own blonde hair. "What's your relationship with Dylan?" brunette barbie ask while glaring at me. Is she trying to claim her territory? Wait...could it be she is the girl Dylan was f*****g in the empty classroom? A thousand questions float into my mind. I mentally shake my head as if trying to get rid of these thoughts. "He is my student". "Then why are you so mad at him? He's my boyfriend" "Dream on" the girl sitting next to Caroline shouts "he's mine!" I roll my eyes before peaking at Dylan, who appears to be bored and frustrated by the girl's drama. One thing for sure, he'll a ladies man. Unfortunately for me, Dylan catches me eyeing him from the corner of my eyes. He smirks as me mouths at me "are you jealous?" I roll my eyes again before starting my lecture, pretending I nothing just happened. After an hour of teaching-and no eye contact with Dylan, which is kind of hard since he is staring at with a rare intensity-the class come to an end. "Before I dismiss the class, I've an announcement to make" I say while closing my textbook, "there is a vacancy in the position on teachers assistant. If you're interested, please drop your applications during my office hour". When the class is over the room grows loud due to the noise of students talking and packing their books. But Dylan is sitting still, watching me with a pair of ocean blue eyes which are filled with fascination and something else that I can't quite figure out. I bite my lower lips nervously wondering why he is looking at me like that. It's like he knows something I don't. All of the sudden, he stands up and swing his bag over his shoulders and walk towards the exit of the class. However just before he reach the door, he briefly looks back at me and smirks. Breath. I need to breath. — A week later — My green eyes questioningly stare at my boyfriend as he pulls out a chair for me to sit at most expensive restaurant in New york. "You brought me here?" "Of course only best for my girlfriend" Victor answer with a warm handsome. Victor and I've been dating for 6 months now. He is almost 20 years older than me, which is why I was a bit hesitant about dating him. Later, his sincere effort to change my mind really got me and I accepted to date him. Just three months after getting into our relationship, he proposed the idea of open relationship. I hesitantly agreed, even through I've not really slept with anyone except him during this 6 months, but I know it's not the case for him. Atleast he didn't technically cheat on me, instead he asked my permission. I scan the surrounding in amazement, The place scream money, looking outside the window I can see a perfect rose garden. This is a excellent place to spend Saturday night. The staffs dart around the place in their formal attire, skilfully balancing meals and taking order. Victor offers me a smile as he take the seat opposite to me at the table he reserved."Have you been here before"? I shake my head. A no. A meal here cost more than my one month's salary. "But I've heard about it. Isn't there a wating list for this place?" He nods, "there is. But I paid to get us in". I open my mouth to reply but the waiter beats me in it as she come with a very expensive wine. After placing the wine on the table, she looks at Victor expectantly as she pulls out her iPad. Shouldn't she give us a menu first? Victor order some expensive food for himself and the waiter nods and quickly scribbles down his order. The waiter then turn at me, but Victor continue speaking, "She will have Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata and Fortress Stilt Fisherman Indulgence for dessert" I press my lips against. Did he f*****g order for me again? When the waitress walk away, I glare at Victor. "I thought we talked about this before, Victor". Victor looks at me with a questioning eyebrow raise "I can order my own food. I'm not a child" "I know you can. But I think taking care of you". This isn't the way you take care of your girlfriend. Give her attention instead of spending weeks away being on business trips. Signing, I reach for my expensive red wine glass and take a long sip. The extinguish taste of wine brightens my mood. "Never mind, let's forget about it". " I didn't mean to upset you, Jessica" " I know". I give him a reassuring smile and relief wash over his tensed face. "So, a fancy restaurant...are we celebrating something?". I glee at my boyfriend. "First thing first" victor raise his glass towards me "you got the job and I'm so proud of you". "Thank youuuu and me tooo" I chuckles as I clink my glass with his. "So, what's the second thing second, hmm"? Victor chuckles before boldly saying, " Jessica, I want you to move in with me". "What?" His answer take me in total surprise. "Victor we haven't even been dating for a year yet". "I know. But I hate being away from you". He eyes have a tint of sadness in them. "I travel all the time and then I come home to an empty suite after weeks of being away" "I want you to be there to greet me" Victor's sad expression is now replaced with a joyous smile. I shift uncomfortably on my seat. "Victor, I'm not a dog—" He hold up his hands to interrupt me and give me a wry grin. " Don't reject my idea immediately. You can take your time to think about it". I nod as the waiter brings our food. We stay silent during the rest of my meal and it is giving me enough time to think about Victor's proposal. There isn't anything holding me back for accepting to move with him...well, expect my pride. I sigh deciding to keep my ego at bay, "Umm.. Victor?" "Yes?" With my heart racing a million miles per second I say, "I'll move in with you, Victor". Victor's eyes lit up in joy, he lean forward and place a kiss on my cheeks before whispering in my ears, "You make me the happiest man on the earth, Jessica". I smile as my cheeks goes warm at his compliment.
