"Flora, you have so many thinks. You're going to have an handache next morning" I tell to my bestfriend, who is having what seems like her hundredth glass of beer this Sunday night. "I've a good alcohol tolerance" Flora defend herself in a slippery, drunken voice, "plus we're celebrating." I roll my eyes before twirling my own glass of half filled beer. I watch Flora leans against her forever boyfriend, Matthew, who in turn kiss her cheeks. They both get lost into each other's eyes, and completely forget I'm sitting on the couch opposite to them in our living room. Flora and Matthew has been my bestfriend since highschool. They've been dating eachother as long as I can remember. But the way they look at each other is like they're still a fresh pair. I'm really happy for them, but I can't ignore the squeeze in my heart at their loving exchange. The bitter- sweet feeling of watching your friends flourish while... you are not. Flora looks back at me, and when she notice my slightly somber expression, her smile dims. "Are you still worrying about Victor"? "A tad", I retort. Mathew frowns and turn his head towards my direction. My cheeks flush in embarrassment at the unexpected attention at the unwanted time. "I don't wanna be a kill joy". I drain my entire drink in one go. "We're here to celebrate my employment, not listen to me complaining about my relationship". "Oh, Jessica", Flora smiles sympathetically at me. "We have enough time to celebrate the good, but there's something that's clearly bothering you" "It's just moving out. I'm gonna miss you guys" I lie. Even I've not idea what's bothering me. It feel like I'm craving for something more... especially since seeing Dylan. I can't forget the passion of his kisses. It's like long lost craving of excitement resurface back into my heart. "Girl you're moving into one of the best hotels in States, and you're being all somber?" "I've to agree with Flora. As much as I love her cooking, I won't mind ordering room service every now and then", Matthew laughs, "maybe we'll visit you very often". I chuckles, "I will like that. It'll give you and Victor a proper chance to bond." My smile flatters when I see Flora staring at me as if she is trying to contemplate something. "What?" I raise my eyebrows at Flora, feeling confused "When was the last time you has s*x?" she asks without any filter. Typical Flora style. "Two days ago, when Victor came back from his business trip". "No, no, no, I'm not talking about the boring s*x you guys have", Flora waves her hand nonchalantly. "I'm talking about those toe curling, begging for more type of s*x". "Never. Even 8 years ago, he treated me like I'm made of porcelain" I reply in an impassive tone. After a long silence, Flora clears her throat. She clearly don't want me to mention my atrocious past. "So, never! See, you're miss out, girl" Flora looks at Matthew. "Flora is right." Matthew says. "He comes home, take you on dinner, you guys f**k and them bhoom, he is goes on his next business trip". "Personally, I think you should dump him", Matthew says, in his friendly protective way. "What?" I look at him in shock. "Well, you don't have to dump him..." Flora interpret. "You're in an open related, you can take the chance to explore. You can date, have s*x and maybe find the missing shell of your heart". "I don't know Flora", I bite my lower lips nervously, "but I'll think about it". —A week later— I'm standing at the waiting area Victor's hotel with my suitcase on phone hand and my phone is other. I glace at my phone, wondering where Victor is. Another 5 minutes pass in indecision. Should I turn back and go or should I text Victor or should I check at the reception? Finally I sigh, and decide to text him. Me : Where are you? I'm infront of at your hotel. I remember you saying that we're meeting at 4. Another 10 minutes pass I get no response. Maybe be I should check at the reception. I'm about to stand up when my phone vibrates at an incoming text. Victor: I'm so sorry, Jessica. I has a sudden emergency and had to travel few hours ago. My plane just landed. Victor: I'm sorry, I really wanted to be there with you. Raincheck? Is he serious? I was getting tensed. He should've told me he has an emergency instead of waiting to do it after his plane landed. I don't want to throw out the tantrum that's bubbling inside me. So I type as politely as I can. Me: it's fine. I get it. Victor: I'm glad you do. Feel free to make yourself at home and let me know if you need anything. Victor : Suite number is 19 and the code is 7119. Me: thanks and miss you. Victor : I miss you more, Sweetest You won't miss me if you're banging another woman now. Instead of giving him piece of my mind and expressing my disappointment at his absence, I put my phone into my bag and walk towards the reception. After checking in, I make my way to the Suite 19. When I reach Suite 19, I type the code and watch the red light in the keycard turn green. Turning the handle, I push the door open and the sight before me have me freezing on the path. In the centre of the living room is a naked man, who is sitting on the couch, his back is facing me. The man's hands are positioned on the hips of a naked woman who is sitting on his lap. As the man guides the woman up and down, her screams of pleasure shatters the shock that left me frozen on the place. My eyes flit around the living room wondering what to do. Their clothes are all around the floor, and in distaste I notice a pink lace bra hanging on the TV. This is insane. How did they even get in here? Without wasting a moment I scream, "What the f**k do you guys think you're doing? GET OUT!" The woman screams in horror and hops of the man. As for the man, he immediately stands up in shock, before searching and finding his boxers on the floor. He immediately put his boxer up and turn around to face me. When I see the man's face, I feel like I've been hit by a harmer. Please tell me I'm dreaming. In front of me is the last man of the earth that I want to see. Dylan. My student. My f*****g student who I made out with on my first day at work.
