“You guys know each other?” I asked Fritz right away.
He smiled sheepishly. “He is also the landlord of the apartment I’m staying in. I told him the other day that a co-worker will be staying here.”
I am surprised by how Fritz acts every minute I spend with him. He had already given me about ten different smiles and moods from the first moment I saw him. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.
"By the way, let me show you how these things work. Some appliances work differently here,” he changed the subject again.
Even if I was curious, I did not ask him anymore. I’m okay with him getting comfortable with me. We can work well this way.
He taught me how to operate the appliances and gave me tips to make my stay and life easier here in Sydney.
