“Dad is gone.”
This is the short text I received from Fritz after waiting for a few hours. I called him right away, but he didn’t answer. I did not try again. I shouldn’t bother him for now. He must be busy taking care of everything and mourning at the moment.
I sent him and his mom my condolences. I also assured him that I’m just here if he needs me. His mom replied right away, but Fritz didn’t reply at all. I’m sure he’s hurting right now. He was already set to visit his dad and talk to him, but fate sometimes had its own way of playing tricks.
