CHAPTER SEVEN
SAD ENDINGS, NEW BEGINNINGS
The sun was sinking low on the horizon, casting long shadows and painting a wonderful mosaic on the sky from Mother natures full pallet of colour, ranging from bright crimson to vibrant orange! The wispy clouds picked up hints of blue, green and purple and cast them, in a velvety haze and were just scattered around in a mesmerizing, random pattern in a vibrant, everchanging, enchanting masterpiece. It was relaxing, yet stimulating, and it lifted the spirits of a worn-out Chief of Police who had just spent an exhausting day at a Police Conference in the city.
Dan O’Reilly, was feeling every single minute, of his 75 years on the planet and it was his birthday today so it was somewhat appropriate that he felt or at least, acknowledged his age, but
