Voices… A lot of voices assaulted her senses. Sounds of birds flying, the chirping of insects, the croak of frogs, the snorting of horses, the bleating of sheep and the quacking of ducks, amongst many other sounds. Voices floated on the wind all through the house, their chatter sounding like a thousand echoes. Strong flavors of food both raw and cooked filled her nostrils, suffocating her. She felt energy-like vibrations all around her, overwhelming her. Yet everything was pitch black. She saw nothing but total darkness. Her body had grown hard like a rock, unable to move and her heartbeat had slowed, with a faint rise and fall of her chest to let in a small amount of oxygen.
