Two weeks had passed by since they had been living here. Today had been a cheerful day, the sun had shone brightly, the birds had sung happily in the trees, and a few hyenas had come close to the barrier, then eventually wandered away. Bernice was getting accustomed to her new surroundings; it was not as horrible as it once felt. During the day, Rojan and her stayed in the bunker, talking about a lot of silly stuff about his world. They slept or read books or magazines that were outlined on the shelf.
