GloryGlory Turner’s house bordered the tracks and Jimmy realized he had walked right by his birthplace when he left the station two days earlier. The small frame house featured a front porch with a rocking chair. He imagined his mom sitting outside, wondering about all of the passengers who passed by on the train. I’m stalling, he thought. Jimmy exhaled deeply before knocking three times. “Come on inside. We don’t lock doors in Oklahoma.” Jimmy walked into the house and stopped when he saw his mother standing by the back wall. Glory Turner lowered her head and began to cry. After some time, she raised her head and revealed a bright smile accompanied by tears of joy. Jimmy laughed as she began to rhythmically bounce, almost hopping, as she extended her arms and he walked into her embrace
