Ishanti, who is in her early 30s, has the body and face of a 16-year-old.
It's something we all envy at times, which sparks amusing debates over whether she's a vampire, a time traveler, or untaggable. I even offered that she consult a doctor to determine if there was a medical cause for it. And, as a healthcare practitioner, I decided to tease my friend. I asked around my hospital to see if there was a condition like that, and the only one I discovered was Benjamin Button, which I know she does not have.
Anyway, back to our night out; we got in after about 30 minutes of bickering. And I must say, the place looks fantastic, and I would have given it more credit if their guard hadn't made me upset. We then went to a table across the room, which required us to traverse the dance floor. Only a few individuals were allowed where the table was located, and Sabrina had to pay $400 so that we could have it. It was her night to pay, and we typically take advantage of the person paying for the night.
I then gave the bartender our orders and directed them to our table. I also informed him that we would be here for a few hours and that any beverages we ordered should be given to the 'K.I.S.S. table.'
Ishanti created the nickname K.I.S.S. after realising in high school what the first letters of our names spell KISS when combined. Keneisha, Ishanti, Sabrina, and Sannia.
Time skip
We'd been at the club for about two hours, and my friends had already downed their drinks and were now on the dance floor. Sannia and Myself are the only ones who prefer to only drink and not dance. We'd been laughing and talking for the past 2 hours, and anyone who offered to buy us drinks or to dance were directed away with a resounding 'No'
A chill runs down my back before the sensation of being watched washes over me. When I looked up, I was confronted by forest green eyes, that sent another shudder down my spine. This shudder was not one of distaste or terror, but rather one of pleasure. He simply continued staring at me, and I tried not to look or make eye contact with him. Ten minutes later, Ishanti and Sabrina arrived and sat at the table, while to the dude and his companions began walking over here. I don't know for sure, but it appeared that he was approaching us.
" Oh God." I mumbled groaning. "What's wrong?" Sabrina inquiries, with the others stares at me with concern on their faces and questions in their gazes.
"That group of guys is heading towards us", I reported.
" How are you sure their heading over here?"
"Because the big one of the group was staring at me and now, he's still staring at me while walking over here," I quipped.
"Maybe he's got a crush on you?" "I don't even know the man"
"Maybe it's love at first sight?" "I don't believe in that s**t?"
" He could just want a dance?" "Well, I hope he settles for a solid no."
"Maybe he say you and found you interesting and wants to get to know you?" "Or maybe we should just leave before he gets over here," I offered the idea, "We can stop at a restaurant; I'm volunteering to pa..."
"Excuse me, ladies," A voice interrupts me, "My friend here would like to talk to the beautiful young lady over here." The guy with the blind hair and grey eyes says, pointing at the extremely large guy in the middle and then gesturing at me, indicating that he wants to speak to me.
"Sooo...why doesn't he say so himself," I remarked with a attitude, hoping that by coming across as unpleasant, they would leave us alone. (It's worked before)
"He's kind of shy at the moment" "He hasn't been out in a while and ummah...ummah...Seeing such beauty has left him awesruck." The person with brown hair and delicate blue eyes come up with.
I raised an eyebrow and responded, "That's the best you could come up with, I've read better in romance novels." Shock is what I would characterized their expressions, while the big guy frowned until a please look took over his face, and then he smirked/smiled, I'm not sure what it is, may e a combination of both. He suddenly stood up straight, straightened out his shirt, and spoke.
"I see that this table is big enough for five more people and there just so happens to five of us, so can we join you guys and maybe order you a few drinks." He surprised me with his deep, silky, and beautiful voice. I won't lie; it sounds hot, and I have to him credit for that, as well as his muscular and appealing body, crisp jawline, and faultless chin. Sh*t, I'm staring.
He smirked as he saw I was checking him out. "Yeah! Of course, you are welcome to join us, " Ishanti replies, giving me a look that tells me not to refuse. I simply rolled my eyes and drank my beer before turning to Sannia and asking her about work and current partner, whom I must say I dislike.
A chair moved up near me, and I heard someone sit. I looked over, and there was the big guy with emerald green eyes. He raised his hand and motioned for the waitress. " What can I get you gentlemen tonight?" she asked, tugging down her blouse and pulling up her already short skirt. Everyone at the table rolled their eyes, and I laughed loudly at her attempt of being attractive.
" I'd like your strongest drink in a beer glass, Ramon would like a beer, Courtney and Ralph wants two bud lights each, Jewel wants vodka on ice and the ladies would like...?" He stops and gazes at us curiosity.
" Two Martinez," Sannia replies. "Same for me," Sabrina and Ishanti responds. Everyone raised their eyebrows when I didn't respond. "You're paying right," I inquired of the bug guy. "Yeah," he replied with a smile. I shrugged and being to order "I'll have a Jamaican Lion mixed with some vodka, and oh,...do you have sprite?" " Yes, we do" she answered with a roll of her eyes "Add a little of that too, and put everything in a beer glass like this guy's drink (I said pointing to the big guy) and keep them coming." " Oh! And only three ice cubs please. Thank you." I finished, beaming at all the surprised expressions at the table, including the waitress.
Sannia struck me in the side. "Keneisha!"
"What?" "What? What kind of order was that?" Sabrina inquiries. "Yeah, that was too much and must have cost a lot"says Ishanti.
*I didn't ask him to buy me anything, but, he offered, so I might as well order whatever I want. I'm teaching him a lesson." I replied, "And what lesson is that?" Sannia asked
" The lesson of never offer to buy a woman a drink. Especially in today's day and age."
The girls shook their heads, smiling amusingly, while the guys tried but failed to disguise their laugher. The waitress The waitress rolled her eyes and left our table to take other people orders, and the tables conversation started up (with me, of course).
"Hey," I said poking the big guy's shoulder to gain his attention. "Whats your name and what do you want?" "Keneisha!" the girls shout "What? He has a name, doesn't he, and he must be here for something, or he wouldn't be over here?" I stated, turning to look the big guy in the eyes.
"So?"
