"Who are you?"  "Who are you?"  Mavis opens her eyes, escaping her hazy state. She takes a deep breath, soothing her empty lungs.  "Who are you?." She snaps her head towards the voice, feeling a sharp pain erupt in her neck.  Her eyebrows knit together seeing the wide eyed girl beside her.  "Who are you." the girl asks again. Mavis studies her dark features and yellowish eyes. Nervousness starts to creep through Mavis body, as she sees how scared the girl looks.  Mavis scoots away from her, but her whole body shoots with aching pain and she whimpers uncontrollably.  The girl sticks her hand into an open patch in her dress, and smells the blood dripping from her fingers.  "How?" the girl asks, seeming more confused than Mavis are.  "How, what?" Mavis mutters defensively.  She scans her surroundings, seeing she is in some small stone cave.  "How did you come here?" the girl's voice squeaks and Mavis feels irritated, wanting to creep up in a bundle of pain alone.  "How did I come here?" Mavis repeats the girl's question unbelievably.  The girl nods and moves away, giving Mavis some space.  Mavis stares at the girl feeling somewhat remorse, seeing her figure. Thin and boney, as if she missed a lot of meals.  "I fell from up there." Mavis answers, pointing and looking up. She only sees blackness and lets her gaze drop back to the girl.  "But how did you know?" she questions.  "Know what?" Mavis asks, suddenly overwhelmed with questions to ask the girl.  "How did you know to come down here?"  "I didn't know anything, I fell." Mavis states.  "Breathing creatures can't come down here."  Mavis's eyes widened and she instantly realized the girl that she's looking at, didn't look human at all.  Her black hair almost looks like feathers and her crouched position, as if it is obtained as normal by her. Black ink smoothes into her orangey skin, as if it's a part of her body.  "What are you?" Mavis asks in horror.  "Klipdwerg." the word coming out of her mouth sounded foreign.  "You're not human?"  The girl, now seen as a strange creature, shakes her head and Mavis feels flooded with fear and confusion.  The sound of silence takes over in the cave and although Mavis had many questions, she couldn't seem to ask them, feeling the building pain and tiredness throughout her whole body. She didn't know what to do, but if the creature wanted to hurt her it probably already would have.  They both spit their ears in alert, hearing a whooshing noise coming from above. "Oh no." the creature whispers, jumping towards Mavis. Mavis feels regret as the creature grabs her wrists and says, "You have to hide."  The creature leads her deeper into the cave as fast as it can, making Mavis nervously moan in pain. Darkness surrounds Mavis.  "Be still." the creature instructs and Mavis  notices a dark figure landing swiftly, on his two feet, unlike her. She frowns, feeling like a gooey puddle of uncertainty and weakness.  "What's that smell?" The voice is deep and strong, and Mavis clutches her arms around her body feeling cold and scared.  "Hmm." the creature says but the figure stalks towards Mavis until he's standing right in front of her. Mavis stays put, trying not to look at the figure.  "Human." he says, sniffing her. A cold uncertainty takes Mavis body over and she shivers. She's fully aware of how close the figure is and it's strong smell invading her nose.  It's hands move towards her head and gently finger comb through her hair until the end. Mavis feels uncomfortable and embarrassed at how loud her breathing is. She tries to see the figure's face but it's too dark.  "How'd you come hear." the figure asks gently.  Mavis gulps her gathered spit and tries to utter a word but nothing comes out.  The figure grabs her arms and violently shakes it and through gritted teeth repeating his question, "How did you come here?"  "I fell." Mavis quickly says, feeling nausea building in her stomach.  "Lies!" the figure screams angrily . He swoops her from the ground as if she weighs nothing. The uncomfortable position worsens her pain and she squeezes her eyes shut.  He marches, with hard steps towards a more lit up place and throws her on the ground. Gasps of pain escapes her mouth and she looks at the figure, being able to see his face now.  She wanted to scream.  His eyes are pitch black and she could see his white cheekbones sticking out of his skin. His lips are silver, like his spiky hair.  "Your face." he says calmly again.  Mavis scans her surroundings, looking for the creature, but seeing her nowhere. The figure suddenly screams unknown words in anger, spitting on Mavis face.  She flinches, feeling a burning sensation around her cheeks, as if his spit are poisonous.  Without thinking she scoots backwards as fast as she can.  She feels something hard beneath her hand and clutch tightly on to it.  "You're mocking me." he's breathing hard and Mavis feels anger radiating out of his skin.  He moves towards Mavis and she hastily puts the object in front of her chest. Before he could do anything to her, he's pushed aside and Mavis sees the creature, whirling around him.  She feels amazed and terrified, at how fast the creature is moving.  The figure wobbles until he landed on his knees and when the creature stops moving around him, Mavis slams the object in her hands against his head with all the force that's left in her. He groans loudly and grabs his head. Mavis stares at the object in her hand, seeming like a sharp rock, filled with blue liquid dripping on the ground. Horrified, she realizes it comes from the figure's head. She looks at the creature, who is staring at Mavis with an astonished expression.  "What's your name." the creature asks.  "Mavis."  "I'm Ponesse, and you have to go." her voice is stern.  Mavis screams when the figure jumps at her again and out of reaction she hits the rock against his head twice. He stumbles backwards and Mavis pulls herself up, running towards Ponesse. Ponesse leads her away, into more darkness.  "Where are we going?" Mavis questions.  "Not we, you."  Mavis stomach churns, "Where am I going." She feels desperate for answers.  "Into our world." Ponesse says in a voice that scares Mavis.  Mavis opens her mouth, but immediately closes it when blue glowing things starts to light op the ground. The are walking on a bridge, above the water.  "What's that?" Mavis asks, eyeing the glow coming from the water.  "That's waterdwergs." Mavis frowns, her head starting to ache of heavy sleepiness.  "What- ahhhhh." Ponesse pushes her of the bridge and once again Mavis falls. She lands with heavy splashes in lukewarm water. She uses all the strength inside her body, force herself through all the pain to stay above water, but the glowing things that Ponesse called waterdwergs drags her down. They form lines on her body and Mavis tries to drag them off, but it's only light. The waterdwergs drags her under and she doesn't have enough strength to pull herself up. She slowly feels herself suffocating but she keeps fighting, her mind and body whirling with survival instincts. She suddenly stops and gawk at the waterbergs resting on her skin.  She tries to look closely in the muddy water, but she only sees a glow stuck on her skin.  She feels like hyperventilating, but she tries to keep calm, knowing she couldn't hold her breath any longer. Her head spins when she feels her feet isn't in water anymore and she slips out, falling with cold wind. She gasps, landing on something hard, but not ground.  She looks up, seeing water surrounding her, with waterdwergs glowing like stars.  Her eyes land on a man, who's holding her, with deep green eyes before her head, overwhelms with pain and she passes out, once again.
