Daphne's POV
I couldn't go home, that was definitely out of the list of options, not like I actually had many. I could literally do anything but to go home right now, the moon goddess would have to come down to force me herself. It really wasn't a no-brainer as to why I didn't want to head home straight.
Mum would definitely be at home and I was in no mood to exchange words with her. There was every tendency she'd found out about my absence in school from Mrs Higgins obviously. I wouldn't be surprised if she'd even casually mentioned my detention too. Then mother would begin to make a fuss of it like she always did and I was in no mood for that.
