"Nikolai." I increased my steps the moment we walked out of Higgins' office. Xavier was trying to catch up to me but I didn't want that. "Nikolai!"
I didn't falter in my steps at all as I trudged forward. I had no idea where I was headed at the moment, but being within the radius of the woman who signed the papers signaling my doom didn't sound too pleasant to me.
"Nikolai!" Xavier called out again as he increased his steps all the more. He wasn't short, but in times like these, I revered the goddess for the gift of long legs. "Alpha!"
