Thus started, the law of royal twin executions. That is until one queen decided to change all that. That queen's name is Queen Calina. She was also pregnant with twins, however, her husband the king didn't know she was pregnant with twins just yet, and if her plan worked, he never would. What she didn't know, is that the prophecy that started all this will be fulfilled with twins growing in her womb.
So what did she do? you might ask. She first switched out the midwife and everyone who would help her deliver with personally chosen people, people she could trust with her life as if her plan didn't work, and she was found out, that is exactly what she would lose, her life.
Next, she switched out her attendants' temporarily, of course, they were good attendants, they just couldn't keep a secret. So there would be no point in all this planning if it all went down the drain just because one attendant couldn't keep her mouth shut.
After that was done, she handpicked a maidservant to send the second twin away. She then convinced her husband the king, to ban music of all kinds from the kingdom. You might think this is a strange law, but she had to make sure all bases were covered.
She sighed as she took the last step in protecting her child's life, a handwritten note of instruction. The Note said
" A prophecy was written about royal twins in my kingdom and as such all royal twins have been executed before birth.
however, I cannot bear to knowingly kill my children.
instead. I will give one of them to you.
This child under no circumstance must learn the art of war. Keep all weapons out of reach.
Tell my child, that I did this to save the child's life, and that I love them dearly.
