Chapter 10: Departure

I slowly open my eyes and turn my glace around the surrounding. Lying down in a slow comfortable bed. I get up and notice a certain light brown haired girl sleeping in the bed next to me.
Her drool is about fall and she looks like having and wonderful dream.
As I turn my glace far to the next bed. There was this aqua blue-haired girl taking pictures of Hanayuki.
"Scarlet-sama Scarlet-sama tell me a new story."
"Your so spoiled sally... I'll tell you sometimes."
In the room, there was these two noble. I believe it's Scarlet Rose and Sally.
Somebody open the door with a slamming sound.
"Will you marry me Scarlet-sama!"
"Power of water Atlantic fist!"
Scarlet cast water magic knocking out the poor cowboy lover Dusk.
"Hanayuki is so cute... Ha... Ha... Ha..."
Yukihime is panting weirdly.
That time I have begun to understand that I'm surrounded by weird people.
And lastly.
"Oh, your already awake Ren. It's been three days. I thought you are going to die."
Said Scarlet.
"Scarlet? Why a high noble is here? And why are you talking friendly with me? I know your secret, yore with the illegal traders."
I said.
"She gets her cup of tea and takes a little sip.
Why she's so calm? I'm this moment she's supposed to kill me or something.
"Don't worry about that Ren... I'm not really with those bastards. I have taken care of them and revealed their criminal act... I'm planning to take on Pithon by myself... Still, I'm impressed that you actually defeat someone that strong."
"Your not one of them."
"That's right."
Scarlet said and take another sip in her tea.
If she is not with them then is she an ally. I don't really trust women. Besides she got that unusual air around her.
I defeated Pithon and the soldiers under Pithon were defeated by Scarlet. That means the dragoons returned to protect the city. It sounds nice to Gila.
"Then Scarlet..."
"What is it?"
"I'm certain I didn't kill Pithon that night. Can you tell me where he is?"
"About Pithon... We failed to capture his body... Before we got there we saw someone get his body. One thing is for sure. That guy is a captain of red robe terrorist."
Scarlet said.
That someone may be the traitor of the dragoon squad Lucas Dragunov. Many evil enemies are still roaming outside. I felt a little sad because we didn't get a chance to capture Pithon and question him on where is the General hiding.
Back in my battle against Pithon.
I know that I just got lucky. My vampire form reached its limit back then. It's good the moon is out boosting my abilities. Even with those enhancements. I still can't get a chance to defeat Pithon on my own.
Hanayuki did a great effort to tired Pithon by focusing his magic to speed up and catch up to Hanayuki.
The moment Pithon has not much magic. I used my last magic to get a vampire form and give him the final attack.
According to Pithon. The reason he obeys general is that he is strong.
If that's the case. I better expect that his more monster than Pithon.
"What's with the silence Ren? Pithon is the strongest in the red robe terrorist captain. He's just a muscle brain that loves fighting."
Scarlet said.
"He's the strongest among the captain?"
"Yep, With his natural physical strength and animal instinct. He can spar with the general. The red robe terrorist got this eighth captain. They don't have a ranking, but they play different roles. Here read this article."
Scarlet give me the published newspaper.
What is this?
The appearance and face of the captain is been shown in the newspaper. With this, I'm able to find each of them.
"Aren't you glad?"
"Not really."
"Well, Ren you must go extra cautious next time. Some of them are not really as evil as Pithon. As far as I know, Pithon is the only one with no proper reason in joining the red robe terrorist. the other 7 are respectable... If your thinking about the day Pithon burned your home. I believe those 7 captains are yet with them."
Said Scarlet.
Then these 7 captains are not my enemy? That this is a little confusing. Red robe is indeed my enemy. That make's them, my enemy.
This is so deep.
I look straight to Scarlet and asked her.
"Then, why you're telling me this, and why you know about the fiery night?
"Are you judging me?"
"No, I just want to know."
"Then, I guess I tell you just a little... It's because of equality."
Scarlet said in a serious tone. She then gets everyone's attention.
"I'm telling you this because I wanted equality. Equality for people. I know that's nearly impossible because inequality comes in many forms. Discrimination, s*****y, status, ranking, etc. I wanted a kingdom with no such thing as slaves. I wanted to educate children. I will use my ability to achieve the goal I believe to be the right thing to do."
Those words of Scarlet. Put a mark on my mind. Those goals are so great to compare to my goal of revenge.
I feel sorry for myself.
"Your so noble Scarlet-sama."
Praised by Sally and clap.
As the conversation flows. Scarlet also told me about the tragic ending of dragoons and the betrayal of Lucas.
In the next following days. I keeping on resting in the hospital until I'm able to stand up and walk like before.
A month later. I started running as fast as I can like before.
Scarlet is kind enough for not charging us money. Even Hanayuki is quite a glutton.
One night, Scarlet invite us for a dinner.
After eating she then get a quest poster and show it to me.
"A quest?"
Said Hanayuki.
"That's right, sleeping knights told me that they found a red robe captain hiding in this small village. We need to get her to answer any questions."
Scarlet said.
Are they planning to torture this captain? I don't really care.
"Elulu? This woman is a captain."
In the poster, Elulu appeared as a grown-up woman with a great body.
"Ren, are you staring at that big chest?"
Asked Hanayuki.
"No, I'm not, I'm not that kind of man. Scarlet give us kindness better to return it to her. I'm going to capture this woman and bring her back here... Wait a minute, earlier did you said sleeping, knights?"
I asked scarlet.
"Yes, sleeping knights are good information broker. I believe you work there before."
"I see, then that's why you know my background. Tomorrow morning Hanayuki and I will depart."
Hanayuki smiled after hearing me.

And the next day, Scarlet give us a little boat with enough food and money from both of us.
"Hanayuki! Hanayuki! My love... Ouch!"
Yukihime is been pounced by Sally.
"Hanayuki! Let's play again sometimes!"
Sally shouted.
"Of course!Bye-bye!"
Hanayuki wave back.
"Hey, Ren say your farewell."
"It's okay, I'm not that kind of person."
"Geez."
Our bout is going east. To the small village of Flore. Looking at my sword I started to remember Hikari and her dream.
