Chapter 41: Reunion and Party

The battle was over and the new day arrives. Bringing a new hope and bright future to our adventurers.

"The sun is beautiful... Look in the sea."

Said Alicia and pointed it with her finger.

Everyone turn their glance to the area Alicia pointed and saw a ship with the flag of Celest City.

Glenn, Lucas, Pithon, and Hikari were stunned.

"This is bad, Scarlet might be onboard."

"You're right Glenn we should leave this place for now."

Lucas then gets his dragon and cast magic that makes it a little bit bigger than before. With that, Lucas, Glenn, and Pithon get on.

"Hikari... Let's go before Scarlet saw us."

Said Lucas.

Ren heard it and look at Hikari's face.

"What is the meaning of this Hikari?"

Hikari turns her glance to Ren's eyes that seem to be seeking answers. Hikari bows her head a little and replied:

"Sorry, I didn't explain much earlier... But I'm a red robe terrorist."

"How!? But the general is a bad person!"

"Sorry Ren, but generally is not that bad... How can I say this? general is the one that helps me control my power."

"He killed you and heal you? Does that make no sense? I thought general think that you're a threat to the world because of you being the witch vessel. I can't understand it now. I saw that you are burned at that moment."

"The one that you saw that burned in that day is not my body. Sorry, but we don't have time anymore."

Hikari then looks into Ren's eyes.

"I'm doing revenge for nothing all this time..."

"Sorry, Ren I don't want you to be in trouble I didn't say anything. Honestly, I was just surprised at the moment I learn that you're traveling in search of the red robe terrorist. You tainted your hand with blood because of the revenge. because you want to avenge my death... You killed the lost members of red robe terrorist who is using their authority to do bad things."

Lost members of red robe terrorist are the people that used the name of the terrorist in bad doing. Like the Mayor of Stella city and the other red robe terrorist Ren killed. Fortunately, Ren never kills an innocent member of the terrorist group.

Hikari then turns her back to Ren.

"Hikari... I'm still confused, but I have one more thing I wanted to say to you...

Ren shouted and Hikari looks back at Ren. As Hikari turns her head Ren said:

"I love you! I love you Hikari!"

Hikari blushed and walked toward Ren. Hikari then kisses Ren on his lips.

Everyone saw the happening and got surprised.

"I love you, Ren..."

Hikari happily jumps up to the dragon's back and wave her hand to Ren.

"Farewell for now Ren!"

"Until I see you again!"

Ren replied as he waves back to Hikari.

The dragon started flying and William looks at them like nothing happened. William makes a promise to Hikari that he will not arrest them in this mission. William as a knight stand up to his words and decided that he will report nothing.

William look at Yusael and said:

"Yusael..."

Yusael got a blushing face and think that William might say 'I love you' as Ren did.

"Ehhh? What is it, William?"

"Yusael I wished that you never say anything about this to your father."

"Eh?"

Yusael is quite disappointed but pulls herself immediately.

"I'm not expecting anything... I will not report this to father."

The dragon of the red robe terrorist flee.

Glenn look to the ground and saw Yusael and William having fun.

"I think this is for the best."

Glenn said and close his eyes.

The ship from Scarlet reached the shore. The adventurers and our heroes get on board the ship.

From Steel Island, I and others arrived at Celest city. because of the hard work and accomplishment Ren and the others did. Scarlet held a party to welcome them.

The party is held in a big hall inside the town hall.

Hanayuki immediately jumps to the hore of food and gets fried chicken.

"Hanayuki is being herself." 2x

Said I and Melida.

Ren looks at each other. Ren got surprised and asked:

"Why you here?"

"I'm inside the ship and get on board with everyone and you're asking me this late... Hanayuki was a friend of mine. I was here because she pulls me here."

Two overpowered little girls. I did battle Melida with William and we didn't have to stand a chance. That speed and unpredictable sword skills. With Hanayuki she was also incredible. They easily kill that demon in few moments.

Behind me, someone shouted.

"What is the meaning of this?! Are you hitting my beloved goddess! You already have Hikari! You two-timing bastard!"

The one shouting is the knight in armor Louise.

"Who is that?"

Asked Melida.

Louise started crying blood and passed it down.

"His name is Louise. He is one of you're demon contractor knights... They said he is so loyal to you."

"Ehhh... Thank you for protecting me."

Louise immediately wakes up after hearing Melida. And started acting like nothing lame happened. He held Melida's hand and smile like a prince.

Melida just looks away in cringe.

"I will do anything for you, my goddess."

"Hanayuki save me..."

Melida whispered.

Seeing Hanayuki munching food make me feel hungry and walked toward the tables. I get myself a plate and get food that I can eat. My plate consists of steak, bread and I know know what is this. In short, I just place anything that I like.

As I walked and find an empty table. William waves his hand and invites me to seat with them.

I seated beside William and opposite to us are the two princesses Alicia and Yusael.

"This feels like a double date right?"

Said, William.

Well, that feels like it.

"Not in the slightest way."

Commented by Alicia and started eating like she normally does.

Yusael blushed and look at William.

I take a glance at Yusael shy attitude toward William and remember the first time I met Yusael. I met Yusael in the lost forest as we investigate the lost children. In that forest, Yusael is very high and mighty But now looking at her...

"Being with someone you like makes a difference..."

I whispered.

At least with Alicia, she just acts as she wanted.

As we eat together I started to feel awkward because I don't have any special relationship with these people. Alicia is busy eating and the two is being shy with each other making the table silent.

On the other side. Kuro and the Integrity knights members are having fun on their own.

Now that I notice it.

Where is Yuna?

Looking around in the hall I turn my head everywhere to search for Yuna. I have never seen her and give up.

"Ren... I have a proposal for you. Do you want to become a Yusael attendant? became a knight and investigate the kingdom?"

Asked William.

Yusael look at Ren and followed.

"William told me about the happening in the kingdom and why he's fighting. With your power. I was thinking you can become a great help if you became my attendant. Don't worry I will treat you well in the kingdom."

I look to my plate and get a piece of meat and eat. After munching it I swallow it gently and drink calmly.

"Sorry, but I have to decline... For now, I'm in confusion. I don't want to decide my future yet. here many questions in my mind and I wanted to have answers with those questions."

Yusael closed her eyes and accept it.

"I see, It's a shame... But whatever you did be careful. If ever saw Glenn in the future please give this letter to him. I wrote it for him... Don't even try opening it."

"Okay... I'm sure this will make him happy."

I replied and take the letter.

Come to think of it. Glenn really tries his hardest to protect Yusael in Steel Island. He also did say about 'Protecting the one you love'.

I keep the letter on my jacket and continue eating.

And after that.

Scarlet came out and greet everyone.

"Good day, everyone! Are you all having fun!"

Everyone happily cheers.

"... I was happy if that's the case, but before we continue our fun let's have a moment of silence toward the people that sacrifice their life in this battle. Many adventurers died including one of my guard Dusk. let's have a moment and pray for their souls."

Seeing Scarlet say those words make me feel that Scarlet is really a great person.

After the payer, everyone continues and Scarlet summons me toward a private room.

As I enter the room located far away from the hall.

Scarlet let me sit down on the sofa with the other three people. This people is Yuna, Melida and Hanayuki.

"I have a question with all of you just answer me with pure honesty."

We all nodded to Scarlet.

"Do you know someone named Amiya?"

As Scarlet asked that question. Yuna immediately answered and said.

"Yes, he is a cool adventurer... He save me from a monster when I was a kid."

"Amiya, then this Amiya is older than us? Maybe, he is in middle age?"

Amiya that is the guy Yuna said to set her heart on.

I notice the book in Scarlet's hand.

"Dusty book?"

"This book? This book is a book that forecasts the future. In this book, I saw many things that happened Including the battle in Celest and Steel Island. I'm trying to understand it and predict the future. In this book, the man named Amiya seems to be a major player in the future. I started to become curious about him. If we able to know him we might able to forecast the future."

Said, Scarlet.

"Too bad, after that meeting when I was a kid. I never saw him again."

Said Yuna.

"It's not your fault Yuna... I also have something. this time to both of you Melida and Hanayuki..."

Sally arrives with cards in her hand.

I recognized it because it's the same card that is used to make the adventurer card. the card that shows the stats of the owner. The card in Sally's hand is blank white meaning no one is still using it.

"Please put a drop of your blood on this card."

Hanayuki and Melida look at each other and bravely get the needle.

Dropping their blood toward the card. The card started to glow. Scrips and stats started to show in the card. After few seconds the card shows Melida and Hanayuki adventurer Stats.

"I see, then you two is this powerful."

Said, Scarlet.

Hanayuki and Melida's 9,999,999 stats is been revealed.

I'm surprised when I saw and think about it. Hanayuki is always powerful. Never think that she is a god level. No, maybe she is more powerful.

"Too, bad this card only limits to 9,999,999. I guess you're more powerful than that. Just who are you two and what is your mission here?"

Melida and Hanayuki stay silent and look at each other.

"Sorry I can't say that..."

"I'm giving you fried chicken."

"I wanted to see my mother and climb the heavens gate..."

Said Hanayuki.

"You're easy."

I said.

Scarlet smiled.

"I guess, you're not staying. I wanted you two, to became one of my attendants. With the power of you two. We can destroy our opponents."

"Sorry but Melida and I have other plans."

"I respect that... Lastly, this is for Ren... This is the document and report about red robe terrorists and the real information. This is from Seel and Elulu. This might clear your mind."

Seeing the document I take it and thank Scarlet.

"Thank you so much, Scarlet."

"After this, what is your plan. Are you staying with us?"

"Honestly I don't know because now. I feel I little empty... My goal of revenge falls into nothing. And I feel like an i***t for not knowing the real story. I wanted to become alone for the time being."

I said to Scarlet.

"If you're mind is not clear about your future yet, then, why not travel and find yourself. With that journey maybe you find lots of answers."

Said Scarlet to me. Scarlet turns her eyes back to everyone and says.

... That's one of the messages written here. I wonder if you heard about this?"

That's indeed a creepy message. I never heard it before.

"Maybe it saying about the witch."

said Hanayuki.

"That's not impossible, but I have my trust in my instinct. Hanayuki and Melida... Do you know something about this?"

Scarlet asked and look at Hanayuki's innocent eyes.

"We never heard that."

Hanayuki replied and continue.

"... I was hungry... I want to get my fried chicken now."

After that questioning, Hanayuki and Melida go back to the party hall.

I go to my room to read the document and rest afterward.

That night I decided to find myself and have a journey.

I wish tomorrow is a great day.
