Chapter 51: Tragedy in Asakusa (Part 3)

The desperate civilians are all desperate to get help from adventurers to survive the invading zombies.
They came and call help in the adventurers guild. The guild was closed and silent.
“That’s impossible the adventurers guild should be open anytime.”
“What are they doing? Are they hiding? Saving themselves because they can protect themselves. Where is the adventurer tax we’re always paying for? The adventurers guild is supposed to help civilians like us in need.”
“Call the adventurers! Where are the adventurers?! What are they doing in time like this? What is the use of the city adventurers guild if they can’t respond.”
“Let’s break through the guild. And drag those adventurers out to help us.”
The civilians make their move and opened the closed door of the adventurers guild.
They open the guild with force by pushing together.
The moment they open the door. All they see are monsters with armor and adventurer clothes.
“Why those monsters are wearing armor and having swords?”
One of the civilians then notices that the receptionist girl that always talking to him. This man gives that receptionist a necklace. Now he saw the necklace wear by the monster. Looking closely at the monster's eyes.
He recognized her.
“Yuina… Is that you?”
He said and fall to his knees.
The monster from the guild attacks the civilians. Blood started flowing in the ground. The civilians continue to run to survive.

In the sky.
“This is not funny.”
Yusael said seeing the destruction below her.
“Why care for them? They are all artificial life forms created in this game-like world. We’re different from them we’re blessed with this special power to do all we want in this world.”
“This world is our world, when this world destroyed them we’re going to perish.”
“That’s why I’m aiming to steal your body. I will live as Yuki Harusaki and delete this world for good. There is no need for this silly experiment. We can just play a VRMMORPG if we wanted to experience something like this.”
Yusael then stopped flying and cast magic.
“Ultimate light magic: Swords of judgment.”
Above the sky of Asakusa thousand and thousands of swords started to form from light particles.
I can’t save everyone, but this will save few people in Asakusa. This is better than saving nothing.
“Are you insane? Some people will be pierced by your magic. Don’t tell me that you don’t really care. You don’t really care about these people. You’re just like me aren’t you!”
“Yeah, maybe I’m just like you… I’m just a better version of you. Because I knew the meaning of sacrifice.”
I’m a better version of Yuki Harusaki…
The thousands of light swords then fall in the city like it was heavy rain. The light sword killed most of the monsters, zombies, and civilians. Some lucky civilians survive the magic. Adventurers with capabilities were able to escape the light sword before the sword hits them.
“That magic consumes lots of your magical powers. I truly enjoy having a battle with you, but I should end this now.”
Chrome opened her inventory system and then get a hand mirror. She then uses it to reflect Yusael’s image.
Yusael accidentally looks toward the mirror.
The mirror started to shine brightly and Yusael suddenly found out that she’s trapped inside the mirror.
Yusael was shocked and currently trying to break the mirror with her fist.
“That’s not going to work. I crafted this special mirror to imprison a player. This mirror work like an inventory system. It’s like those magic cards that contain items, but this thing can trap the human soul inside of it. With your soul, I will access the console and log out to your body. At last, I will have a flesh and blood on the earth. I now can kill my real self on the earth.”
Chrome muttered.
“Kill your original?”
“Yes, Using your body I will first destroy this world and kill my original. That original Chrome that accepted this project. Being a copy and living here alone is like hell. Our soul after death keeps on reincarnating in this shitty world. I got fed upon it, I can’t stand it anymore. My 500 years of suffering will end at last.”
While holding the hand mirror containing Yusael. An Arrow was suddenly shot and pierced through Chrome's hand. Because of that the mirror falls and catch by a certain someone.
“Thank you for making the work for me.”
Said Hakan.
Nello with the bow and arrow reload his bow and fire another five shots to Chrome.
The arrow pierced through Chrome’s body parts.
“What is this my magic is not working?”
“Those arrows are made of white metals, it’s an anti-magic material. Even a most powerful magic user can’t do anything with its presence.”
Nello said and shot Chromes head with another arrow. Chrome then falls from the sky.
“You’re getting good in aiming.”
Hakan praised Nello and tap his shoulder.
“That’s because you’re my master.”

In the place where Alicia is hiding, suddenly she hears Yusael’s voice.
“Alicia, can you hear me? I know that you came and follow me because you wanted to have a hot spring trip.”
“You know?! Why use telepathy?”
“I can just use this with a person close to me, I can’t broadcast this like you. Use your ability to broadcast this news to your friends. Tell them that I’m captured and can’t do anything.”
Alicia then started crying.
She then shouted the news.
“Princess Yusael was captured!”
Princess Yusael is the strongest. She with her multiple achievements. She always proves that she is the strongest before she met Hanayuki and Melida.
The kingdom and the whole country saw her as the strongest among all. Because of that many criminals and demons are hiding because of her. Her presence alone can intimidate a demon or criminal into doing evil things.
Yusael is the symbol of peace in the country herself.
Losing Yusael is everything in this country.
Far far from away the land, the voice reached Hanayuki and Melida. Melida is currently quiet and has a grim expression on her face.
“Yuki’s soul is in danger, we need to do something Hanayuki.”
Melida said and pull Hanayuki’s hand.
10 years of memories flash through Hanayuki’s eyes.
10 years of memories when she is having a fun time with Yuki on the earth. The time they eat together in a famous restaurant overseas. The moment they have a girl's date together and the moment Yuki helped her sneak out from a television taping.
Yuki is my friend.
Hanayuki looks to her hands and tremble.
She didn’t know but her hands keep on trembling and she started to release cold sweat.
I live as Kanna in the real-world for 17 years, I also live in this world as Hanayuki for 17 years. These memories, what should I do? What is really the real thing?
“Sorry, Melida but I can’t do anything.”
Hanayuki then sits down on the ground.
“What?! We can use our magic to reach that destination we can still save Yuki. She’s our friend, she helped us a lot in the real world.”
“But that Yusael is just Yuki’s copy, that thing is not really Yuki. We’re just planning on putting someone else soul inside Yuki. That’s the reality, we can’t really save Yuki. Yuki is already dead. Dead people can’t return to earth.”
Hanayuki is currently depressed and refuses to get up from her seat.
“Are you going to sit there forever?”
“Maybe…”
“How about the movies and drama you’re still making?”
“Honestly, I’m fed up being their little star. I don’t like show business anymore. I’m constantly living to other people's expectations. I don’t like it, I feel like my freedom is taken away from me.”
“Kanna-chan… I’m you’re number one fan. I always buy anything with your face on it. I watch all you’re movies and dramas. I also listen to your song, even everyone says that you have a rough voice.”
“Yeah, I have a rough voice. I wonder why I get that top chart rating before. Maybe they like laughing at me. That’s why I’m surrounded by comedians and constantly have comedy projects offered to me.”
“You're supposed to be our angel.”
“I’m not an angel… I’m not a saint or goddess… I’m just Kanna… Just Hayami Kanna.”
Hanayuki just stares at the vast sea and started thinking about many things.
I don’t know anymore. I don’t know what to do anymore. I guess I will just log out and retired after this. What is the meaning of this? Everything is started to have no sense.
Also, Who I am? Am I Hanayuki? Or am I Kanna? I wanted to have more time to think about it.
I wanted to be alone for now.
Melida just looks at Hanayuki’s hollowed eyes with sad eyes.
