Melanie walked into class and sat down.
Mr. Blackworth was setting up his presentation and informed the class excitedly that today they’d be discussing the Salem Witch Trials. He asked a question, and her hand immediately shot up with Brad’s hand not far behind.
She immediately narrowed his eyes and gave him a look, angry that he’d raised his hand. Now Mr. Blackworth would call on him. Their history teacher was always trying ot encourage Brad to participate in class instead of slacking off. Brad answered Mr. Blackworth’s question correctly and ran a hand through his hair.
Melanie didn’t know why but the urge to burn all his hair off briefly crossed her mind. She glowered at him and he simply smirked back at her, pleased he’d pissed her off somehow.
