It was late in the evening when Aria arrived at the front steps of Antonio Santiagos house. He was a Beta for the Silver Creek Pack. Aria had met the alpha of the pack a few times when she'd been working under Sybl. She didn't like Alistair (the alpha) and she had a feeling she would dislike Antonio too. Hesitantly, Aria rang the doorbell.
A little boy who looked to be about 4 opened the door and his eyes widened when he took in Aria holding a baby. Surprised, Aria simply looked at the boy, wondering momentarily if it was too late to just turn back.
“Mom!” the boy called, running into the hallway. “Mom!”
