“Eve! Please come over here so we can talk.” Elizabeth called out to her daughter. Evelyn came back into the room and sat next to her brother as silently as ever. “What mess did you two get into now…?” Elizabeth asked, her attitude unchanging since before, she waited for the two to explain things to her.
