“What the hell is that?” I said.
Priya’s growling let me know that she was alarmed by the mysterious orb as well. A series of resounding howling echoed around us in the distance. It was the warning we had been waiting for. Priya leaned her head back and joined their howling. Suddenly, the large orb of light began raining down what looked like arrows onto the house. The sounds of glass shattering and screaming soon filled my ears. Smoke started to rise from the house. This had to be Mercer’s doing.
“Priya, I have to help get the others outside. Help the others defending the perimeter!“ I commanded.
