Carol’s POV
I was faced with visitor after visitor for most of the day. Oliver and Fiona ended up leaving with my parents; they took them back to Aiden’s penthouse so they could rest for the night. They promised to be back in the morning before I was scheduled to leave with the King.
After a while, the King ended up leaving as well; he got a VIP suite at a luxurious hotel near the hospital. He left some guards at the hospital though; he said it was for my protection, but I’m pretty certain it was to make sure I didn’t try to leave in the middle of the night. Even if I did attempt to escape, I wasn’t sure there was a place where they wouldn’t find me.
