Carol’s POV
Miranda’s scrutiny changed from me to him. Her anger was evident in her eyes as she glared at him.
“What the hell are you talking about, Benjamine?” She growled.
Ben’s eyes never left mine and I kept him under my hold so we could squeeze all the information out of him.
“You promised this rogue your children?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
“I made a bet and I lost… three times. Each time, I bet one of my kids. I stopped after the third one. He doesn’t know I have kids already, so I made them for future kids. I didn’t think I was going to have any more kids. I thought they would be safe,” he explained; his voice monotone because he wasn’t speaking out of his own free will.
