The guards stepped forward as soon as Damon replied the the war council, he didn't seem fazed even though he knew there was a potential moment when he could get punched in the face once again. "How dare you human?. You have no idea what you've done!!" One of the the male members of the war council said firmly as he rose to his feet and slammed his fist against the table before him. He was fuming with rage and Damon could tell because of the steam he released from within him, it was truly a wondrous sight for Damon. "Leave him be fourth seat, he has no idea of what he's capable of. He is foolish and ignorant, afterall he is human." Another member said calmly but this time it happened to be a female. Damon groaned, he was tired of them insulting the human race when they hadn't even seen what the outside world looked like. Afterall the lot of them were nothing but NPC'S, this he had come to understand. "I'd like to stop you right there Mr. Dragon thingy, the whole of the human race isn't responsible for your loss or current situation. You dragons equally destroy everything in your path, you are nothing but animalistic, raw and uncultured." "You arrogant brat. You know nothing of us." A male member who sat at the far end of the council on the right lashed out, his eyes were bulging out and the rage was evident in the way he spoke. They were all going mad with rage. "I know a lot about your race, I am a dragon slayer remember. I kill your kind and bath myself in their blood, I rip out your scales and flesh and make weapons out of them. I am a dragon slayer." "I don't care if we are in the wrong, let's kill this ignorant being and make a feast of his flesh. I'll have his head." The member on the last seat said as he stood up stretching out his left hand, a dull purple ball of flame was ignited and it floated over his palm getting much more hotter every second it stayed ignited. The princess who had stayed silent since the beginning stepped forward to stop the member who sat on the seventh seat, she still had the stern look from earlier on her face. "Seventh seat this was not what we discussed remember?" The seventh seat quenched the flames he had earlier ignited and growled before taking his seat, he still shot Damon a death stare which Damon returned by sticking out his tongue. The seventh seat silently murmured before averting his gaze and settling it on the princess. She cleared her throat before turning to look at Damon, the sharp stinging force of her palm connecting smoothly with his left cheek made an echo within the room Damon blinked has he tried to regain his composure, he wasn't expecting her to actually hit him. "You should take this more seriously human, your life is on the line." She said, she turned to face the members of the council before picking up from where she had earlier left off. "With all due respect most esteemed members of the war council, I still believe that we should carry out a test to ascertain if he's truly in possession of the bloodline. I can tell from the smell of his blood, he has the scent of the elder dragon all over him but we still have to confirm." The princess said as she bowed her head and stepped back. The members of the war council turned to eachother and began mumbling incomprehensible words amongst themselves. Damon didn't bother trying to listen in on their conversation, he was still blinking hard from the sting of the slap he had received. After a few minutes of mumbling, the members turned to look at Damon and the princess. "Princess Lena I believe you have a point, we shall take his blood and send it to the head alchemist. Once his blood his tested we shall then decide what to do with him, in the meantime have the guards throw him back into his cell." Lena bowed her and turned towards the guard before nodding her head as a signal that Damon was to be taken back to his cell once his blood was collected. A guard stepped out of the room and returned a few minutes later with a knife and a glass beaker, Damon's facial expression instantly changed as he saw the object the guard had with him. It wasn't as advanced as the one the outside world made use of but he really couldn't tell them apart. 'So they aren't as dumb as I thought them to be' Damon thought to himself. The guard took Damon's right palm in his own and without warning he slashed at his flesh. Damon yelped in pain as his blood flowed out endlessly, the council members couldn't help but sniff the air as they recognized the familiar scent of a dragon. "What a strong smell, did you eat him?" The third seat asked in astonishment, Damon sighed as he looked at all the humanoid dragons before him. This was his life now, a life full of fantastical beings the outside world claimed didn't exist. 'I take back my words, they are definitely as dumb as I thought they were' Damon thought. Once his blood was collected he was unstrapped and taken back to his cell. Once he was thrown in Lena waved the guards away and looked at him, it was like she wanted to speak to him but her lips didn't part neither did they tremble. She had nothing to say. "If you don't have a problem I would very much like to be left alone." Damon said as he backed away into a corner of the cell, as much as he was enjoying gaming in another world he still didn't enjoy being held up in a cell and a dirty one to be precise. Lena turned and walked away leaving Damon alone, once she was out of sight Damon let out a sigh of relief. 'System activate' Damon commanded telepathically, this time ten familiar system interface came to life and Damon didn't hesitate to ask the questions he had on his mind. He was done sitting around doing absolutely nothing, it was high time he started working towards his main quest. He needed to get stronger if he had to continue surviving the challenges Dragon Dynamics pulled out for him. He was a dragon slayer and getting stronger was nothing but an easy feat. Or so he thought.
