I laid down on my bed, smiling ear to ear after listening to my mate and Juliana's little conversation in the kitchen, I didn't mean to eavesdrop just wanted to know why my mate left her room in the middle of the night. yes, I stay in the room right opposite hers, I actually asked Juliana to put her in the room opposite mine. I know I can't approach her right now so I don't scare her, but it's been a torture staying away from my mate, when my heart and body wishes to be with her.

When I heard the sound of her door opening, I first thought she was leaving, which sets me on a panic mode, I thought maybe she didn't want to stay here anymore, but that didn't scare me because even the goddess knows that I'm not letting her leave me.

I held myself from bursting out of my room immediately, I waited patiently before following behind, when I saw her going to the kitchen on her night wear, I let out the breath I was holding, immediately my racing heart slowed down, my mate is going to be death of me, I sighed and then mind linked Juliana to check on my mate and to know if she needs anything.

I went back to my room after making sure she wasn't alone anymore, although hiding in this room doesn't make sense to me, I mean come'on, that's my mate just few steps away from me, the same mate I have been waiting for over the years, now the goddess has brought her straight to me, I still find myself far away from her.

I hate this stupid idea of taking things slow!

"Tyler get your pretty ass here" my mum mindlinked me.

"What do you want mum?"

" Tyler Stars don't make me come over and drag your Alpha's ass myself"

"Woo.. mum, that won't be cool" I sighed and hesitantly dragged myself out from my bed.

"I'm on my way mum" I mindlinked her.

I took careful steps outside my room not to alarm my mate, her door was slightly open and the light was still on. I wanted to see what she was doing this late, actually I just wanted to see my beautiful mate.

I slowly walked to her room door and peeped through the little opening at the door and I saw my beautiful mate sleeping on her tummy while holding a book on her hand, I couldn't see the title of the book but I bet it must be interesting for her to be so engulf with it.

"Tyler Stars!" I heard my mother calling my name through the link.

"Ah! She's so impatient"

I clicked my tongue multiple times and just frowned at the thought of leaving this beauty even for a short while. I quietly ran through the stairs before allowing my wolf Ty to take over and run to the pack house.

In no time my wolf arrived at the pack house, I saw some of the pack warriors running into the woods, I guessed they are on patrol, my Beta Mason is really doing a good job in my absence, we both agreed for me to stay with my mate tonight without any distraction and Alpha's duties but my mum won't just let me be. Sometimes I wish I have other siblings, then perhaps mum could have given me a break, don't get me wrong, I love my mum but sometimes she can be so difficult and it even got worst when she lost her mate, my dad, she was so depressed and I almost thought I would lose her but thanks to the moon goddess she was able to survive the lost, although I know she misses him so much.

I went to my old room and shifted back to my human form before getting some clothes I left here in the closet, after putting on a sweat pant and a sleeveless shirt leaving my tattoo on display, I strolled down to the kitchen to find my mum quickly because I don't plan on staying over too long.

"Hey man" Mason my beta and best friend waived his hand in my direction and I waived him back before approaching Suzy one of the omega who was on kitchen duty.

"Good morning Alpha" she bowed her head as she says her greetings.

" Good morning Suzy" I smiled at her which made her blushed, I always have that effect on these mateless she wolves.

"Can I have some coffee please?"

" Sure"

she smiled back before turning her back on me, I guess to get my coffee.

" What are you doing here Tyler?" I heard Mason asking from behind me before joining me at the counter.

"My mum called" the anger I spoke with can be felt by those around.

" It might be important you know"

I know he's saying that just to comfort me but this wasn't comforting at all.

" What can be so important that couldn't wait till tomorrow?"

"Your Mate" I heard my mum replied from behind me.

"Hello Luna, let me leave you guys to talk" Mason just disappeared, if not that I'm angry I would have been teasing him by now, till date I still don't know why Mason can be scared of my mum.

" What about my mate?" I asked her although a bit disrespecting.

" Tyler Stars, you better not be talking to me with disrespect"

I can see she was upset already, which is not good, I might be the Alpha of this pack but this is my mother and a mate to one of the strongest Alpha's, plus she's got Alpha's blood running in her vain.

"I'm sorry mum" I calmly apologised to her.

"You better be boy" she smirked at me, I just shook my head smiling, Suzy gave me my coffee.

"When where you planning on telling me you found your mate?" She asked with one of her eyebrows up.

"I was planning to bring her to you later today" I was too busy preparing a room for my mate that I actually forgot to inform my mum but knowing her temper I better just lie but the way she looked at me tells she knew that I was lying.

"Tyler I know you are so excited having your mate beside you and I am happy for you"

"Thanks mum" I was smiling ear to ear.

"Look at you all grown up my baby, you should definitely bring your mate to come see and I know she must be a beauty"

" She is mum"

"Tyler have you been able to talk with her, perhaps know where she's from?"

" No, why?" I wasn't getting the question

" I heard she's human and I heard about her beauty, but what I still can't understand is how on earth she was able to walked through the magical barrier in the first place, don't get me wrong, I'm happy you found her but aren't you curious as well?" She asked.

" I have also thought of it but I have not been able to to talk with my mate yet, I'm curious of so many things, like why was she in the woods and with what I saw earlier it seems she's on the run" I frowned at the part that might be possible someone was chasing her, my wolf Ty was already charged, we are ready to protect our mate, we are ready to kill anyone who poses as a threat. I felt my mum hand caressing my arm.

" Calm down son, she's safe now and nothing is going to happen to your mate" I calmed myself down a bit.

" I have not been able to ask her questions yet because I don't want to scare her so I'm taking things slow" my mum burst into laughter, which made me wonder if I said anything that might be funny.

" What's funny mum?"

" Tyler you are not going to get her by watching from afar, I wonder who's idea that was anyway; you are an Alpha and you are like the hottest in the pack, use that to your own advantage, although I know you are still a virgin"

I almost choked on the coffee I was drinking.

"Jesus Christ mum! I don't think my s****l life is a topic I will like discuss with you.

"Oh please! I gave birth to you, you ungrateful child, at least let me teach you how to handle your human mate" She was still smirking.

" Mum it's not funny, back off" I warned.

"Okay okay, I won't talk about your virginity again"

"Mum!"

She burst into laughter

"Alright son" I can see she was struggling with not laughing anymore.

"On a more serious note Tyler, I think you should be fast with your plans, so we can see if she will be needing our help"

"Okay" I replied

"If we are done here, I really need to go back to my house" I requested but she only gave me that knowing look with a smile plastered on her face, I just gave her a kiss on her cheek before saying good night to her.

When I got back to my house, it was still dark although it's almost 4 am, I decided to check on my mate first, but I needed to wear some clothes first. I peeped through the opened door but found her sleeping already so I walked into the room and her scent filled my nose.

"This is so alluring" I was still battling with control, when I got closed to my mate, I couldn't move, I was so mesmerized by her beauty, tonight I am sleeping here with my mate, so I quickly took over the empty space on the bed slowly. I promised to wake up before she notices.

"Good night my love" I lightly kissed her forehead before allowing sleep take over..
