I went out of the palace for the first time without Lucas. I wanted to get some air and have some time to think. My feet took me to the maze garden in front of the palace. I walked in and let myself get lost inside the huge puzzle while my mind was also lost within my thoughts.
“What’s going on inside your mind Princess?” I almost jumped when somebody spoke. I turned to see Lucas’ uncle.
“Uhm, nothing…”
“Now, now, don’t lie to me. I can almost hear your thoughts, you know.” He said casually. I don’t know why he’s being friendly today.
“Are you thinking about not phasing into a Lycan?” he asked again.
I sighed.
“Yes,” I admitted.
“Well, I can’t blame you. It’s really a big deal if you couldn’t turn into one of us.” He said that made me feel worse.
