THE FOUR OF US were relaxing in the living room of the suite, talking about nothing in particular, when Charles said, “Okay, guys, here’s the schedule. This evening at seven, William and Henry will pick us up and take us to dinner at a famous restaurant in the Faneuil Hall complex called Durgin Park. Our appointment at the clinic is for ten o’clock tomorrow morning, and we should be through there in well under an hour. Philip and I are coming back here to the hotel, and William and Henry are going to give you a tour of Boston. Part of it will be doing the Freedom Trail, which involves a lot of walking, so dress comfortably and wear tennis shoes.
