So today was the day that Attica looked for all year... the annual Christmas Party at her job. She of course always had her date, Jasper come with her. It was the best thing to look forward to. But, it was all about to change for her and she didn't know it. Like I said before, Attica never liked change. Jasper showed up to pick up Attica. He was dressed in a beautiful black tux. He had red roses in his hand and when she answered the door, there he was. Her heart skipped a beat. She never felt that before. It hit her harder then anything had ever hit her in her life. She actually had feelings. Something she never knew to show.
Attica was dressed in a beautiful silver ballgown. She had her hair up and she was actually wearing makeup. She was beautiful. Jasper gave her the roses. "Hey, beautiful these are for you." She smiled and thanked him. She took them and put them in a vase with water. When she turned around he was there right behind her. She gasp. "Oh, I didn't mean to startle you love." Jasper said. "You did. I didn't expect for you to be there. Shall we be going?" Jasper smiled. "Actually, there is something that we need to talk about. Do you have a few minutes before we go?" "Sure."
They both walked over to the couch and sat down. She looked at him like she never looked at him before. She knew in her heart that she loved him. But, she couldn't let this show. Jasper looked at her and said, "Look I have kept something from you for all these years and it is killing me. I can not keep it a secret anymore. I am in love with you. I have been since we first met. I want to be more then friends. Please Attica, can we give this a chance? I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you have me?" Attica gasp. She could not believe her ears. Can it be that he felt the same way as her all this time?
She thought about it for a minute. What about her life? Her job? She didn't know if this was going to change things for her or not. Could she do this? Attica looked at him and even though she wanted to say yes... She couldn't let it happen. "Jasper, you are my best friend but I can not do this with you. I love you but my life is my work. If we do this, my father will think I am weak and that I can not run his company. I can't make a life with you or anyone until I prove myself to him." Jasper thought about it for a minute and said, "Why not take it slow. Nothing changes. We do everything together already. We spend our Sundays together. Nothing is changing in our lives except our feelings for each other. Please think about it. Don't throw this all away because of your father." Attica looked at him and her heart was beating faster then ever. She wanted him with ever ounce of her soul. He was right and she knew it. Nothing will change. "Okay. Let's try."
Jasper smiled at her and he was excited and so was she. They both got up from the couch and went down to the limo to go to their Company Christmas Party. It was the start of a long and beautiful night. They danced and laughed all night. Her father and mother was there. They had never seen Attica more happy in her life then that night. They knew something was up. Her father was happy due to he was going to get a son that he always wanted. But, no one knew this except him and Jasper. Her mother was happy to see her daughter take a chance with love. Attica did not know that they knew. Jasper had talked to both of them before hand and made a deal with her father. That was a dark secret that was being kept.
After the party, Jasper dropped off Attica and they both said good night. But, before he left, he leaned in and kiss her so passionately and hard. She almost lost her stance and fell. Jasper caught her. This was her first kiss. One that she had waited for all her life. It was one she was going to remember for the rest of her life too. She always knew he was going to be her first kiss. She just didn't think that it was going to be now. It was beautiful and he was beautiful. She loved him so much. This was the beginning of the best time in her life. She had waited all her life to be loved and now that she was getting it, she didn't know what to do.
They said good night and went on their ways. Attica couldn't sleep that night. She looked forward to Sunday with spending it with Jasper. She was excited that she said yes to him and to love. This was the beginning of it and she couldn't wait to see where it was going to go. But, one thing that lingered in the back of her mind was her father. Was he going to see her as weak and what would happen to the company that she worked hard to achieve? She also thought of what would happen between her and Jasper if things did go great. Would she loose her company to him? She knew that this is what her father would do but Jasper? She trusted him and knew he would never take anything away from her. So she knew that it would not happen. But, would it? Would her best friend betray her? Is he just doing this to get the company? She had to think positive. But, in the end something just didn't seem right.
