Chapter 3

Through my investigation over the past few days, I learned that their families weren't wealthy. They became Crystal’s lackeys by sheer vanity. By doing all sorts of things for her, they satisfied their vanity. Of course, it was because Crystal's father was the school principal. Most tellingly, Vanessa and Hannah never attended classes but could got scholarships many times according to some students. I sat in front of the hotel terrace opposite the school and watched as they walked out with Crystal's arm intimately held, talking and laughing. The hatred in my heart was infinitely deepened. It was the perfect timing when nightfall. I sent identical texts to them: [Do you want to impress Crystal? I’ve got juicy info you'll love. Just bring 1,000 bucks to the abandoned building in the Second Alley tomorrow, 6 PM. If there’s no reply, I'll go to Vanessa(Hannah) instead.] Although they were both Crystal's lackeys, they were still vying for the top. As expected, their replies came within minutes. They asked who I was and why they could believe me. My response was simple:[Then don't believe me. Others will.] The fools took the bait and said they'd come. I turned off my phone gently and waited for tomorrow's trap.
