 It was the usual Friday where the hospital was swamped with patients here and there. All clinics were filled with patients waiting for their names to be called and examined. I have never complained of anything about my job being a doctor, I love it! It was my ever since dream job but there are days like Fridays that sometimes I think back of the days I dreamed rather pursued being a doctor. That was my last patient heading out of my office when Alice my secretary s***h best friend comes in. Alice is my childhood friend that we both went to same highschool and University. It's just so unfortunate for her that she got knocked off by Henry one of our friends even after finishing college, and me being the helpful bestfriend that I am hired Alice to be my secretary. Atleast I was comfortable working with her and knowing she's a nursing undergrad but knows her work arounds and these and thats. "Your sister haven't changed in ages and top it with his gay sidekick Ruwee. A minute never passed she kept calling asking when you're gonna be done for the day." Alice ranted as she slumped on the couch in front of the table with her eyes rolling. "Ugh tell me about it. I wonder what she's up to this time." I copied her gesture as I slumped my torso and head down to my table. "So any plans for today?" Alice asked as if she had the time to spare when she's got her 6 month old baby waiting for her to be home soon. "Nope, none that I can remember and none that I fancy." I answered lazily, I am so tired today that I just wanted to go on a warm bath. "That's it for the day then, I'm leaving, unless you've got things you need my help with." Alice asked. "No, no, no, I'm good. Go ahead I'd be leaving in few minutes too. I'll just compile all these files. Harice must be waiting for you." me referring Harice as his 6 month old baby. Alice left as we've talked about, I finished up with my files and headed to the parking lot ready to be hugged by my bathtub filled with fresh bamboo scent warm bath, but right even before I step out of the elevator towards my car, I was stopped by my sister Ranicka and her bestfriend Ruwee. 

"I already told you no little sis". I was almost mad expressing that to Ranicka. Well Ranicka is a hard-headed persistent brat kind of a sister. She was forcing me to attend their yearend party just as she did last week when she first invited me. She told me the party was grandiose that everyone is invited, well why not she was working in ARCTIC corporation, one of the well-known financing company in Manhattan and Rome. Well what can I say they love making publicity, it helps the business a lot, which is why they love making grandiose party and loves inviting everyone. I was about to get in my car when my sister and Ruwee started pushing me inside the passenger side of my car and Ruwee getting in the driver's side and starting the engine. Oh well Alice was right my sister and her sidekick. We end up on a mall nearby the hospital and trying on many dresses and gowns. With my knowledge of me having no chance of winning over to my sister I ended up wearing the long sea blue gown dress. I'd say it was simple yet elegant, intricate and decent, just exactly the kind of gown I'd be wearing. After buying the gown we headed to the parlor next. "Your hair is always tacked in an old-fashioned ponytail making you look like a librarian so why not let loose your hair this time, I like it when your is down." Remembering how she always tell me that I am too old fashioned for always tying my hair in to a bun. I noticed the stylist controlling his laugh that I sent an icy glare his way which made him back to being serious. "Well fine, just this time and this is the last." My hair was pinned on the right side of my ear with a pin decorated with blue gem and pearls. Later on loosely curled on it's ends. The make up was light as the stylist said I don't need a heavy makeup as I am already naturally stunning. It was 30 minutes to 7 when we were done and was headed to Cashew hotel. 

I almost turned my back and just head back home when I saw how the hotel was swamped with perhaps thousands of people. The moment we got in Ranicka and Ruwee were greeted by their co-workers, some clients they've known and I was left just like that. Well so much for my Friday. Feeling suffocated at the ballroom of the hotel I went out to breathe a fresh air. I ended up at the rooftop garden. The garden was beautiful as it is filled with flowers and other plants that I am pretty sure were expensive and rare. I was enjoying the view and the vibe especially being left alone when I heard someone clearing their throat. 

"Yes?" I asked nonchalantly. "Seems to me that it's a first time seeing such a beauty." said the sexy man in front of me. Wait did I just say he was sexy? Well anyway remembering what my sister and her bestfriend told me exactly I blurted "Uhm yeah, I was just invited by my sister. "And that would be?" Him probably asking who my sister is. "Ranicka Matthews." I said shortly. "Well, I didn't expect that. I thought Ranicka has a brother and not a sister." he teased. "Hmmm I guess that would be because of my name." I responded which made him chuckle. "Mustn't be the first time?" which I answered with a nod. "Anyway my bad, my names Evan Bradley" extending his hand which I gladly accepted. "Pleasure to meet you sir, Rannielle Matthews". suddenly feeling a jolt of electricity from his hands. "Pleasure to meet you, so what do you do for living Ranielle. You know just wondering why your sister and her bestfriend are both working under my company and that you are not." I smiled with his statement because that was absolutely true. "I'm a Neurologist. To answer and to amend your thoughts, it's just that I feel like business wasn't for me." speaking as if I have even considered other profession than being a doctor. 

We continued our conversation and got to know more about each other such as that he was allergic to peanuts and that I hate peanut butter myself. I enjoyed Evan's company that I totally forgot about Ranicka and Ruwee. I opted to excuse myself and leave but I just couldn't and I just can't seem to figure out why.  I thought the night would end with me going home with my sister and her bestfriend, well perhaps I was wrong. I ended up being in on the penthouse with Evan doing you know what.
