ISOLDE My brow creases as consciousness slowly creeps in. I instantly regret it. The heat is still happening, festering like a torment. Desperately, I seek the darkness again, eyes tightly shut, but who am I kidding? The more I seek, the more it pulls away from me. Reluctantly I open my eyes.
