He looked to where I was pointing, walked over to it, and unplugged it.
“Thanks, babe.” He walked back over to me and kissed my head. “I'll be back in a minute.”
He rushed off into the bathroom. He had the phone to his ear and shut the door behind him with the sole of his foot. I sat on the edge of the bed and heard him lock the door.
What was all that about?
I tried to listen in to find out what he was up to, but I couldn’t hear from that distance. I stood up and crept slowly towards the bathroom door, but when I got halfway across the room, I heard him turn on the shower. I huffed as I threw my arms in the air.
