I must have finally fallen asleep because the next thing I know, I'm blinking groggily at the low-burning coals as they smolder peacefully, and the silent, deep-breathing form of Kaelin on the other side comes into view. I don’t know when he came back, but he’s over there, sound asleep and looking every bit my idea of a fantasy. So annoying. Asleep, he has a gentle, peaceful expression. His long lashes lay so delicately, like little fans, and his normally slightly mean upturn at his mouth corners, like he's smirking, is softened and straight. He’s on his side, facing me, hair messier from lying on it, so some strands are hanging across his nose, and yet there’s something so safe and serene about his presence. He looks like he could do no wrong. For a little demon, he’s incredibly angelic
