Chapter Three

I was still in the state of shocked when we reached the mall, Adrien cleared his throat when I didn't budge on the front seat of his Audi, he was the one who unbuckled my seat belt and left me alone in his car.             I sighed, I reached for the handle but before I could open the door, he already opened it for me, I looked at him, his feature darkens as he waited for me to clamber out.             "You know you can just leave me here. I don't really mind." I uttered but he just pressed his lips into thin line.             "I thought you like me, liking me means that you have to impress me. You can't impress me with your way of living. You have to go my way if you want my attention." He said, making way to the elevator.               I saw teenagers looked at him but he doesn't seem to mind them giggling because of him, they took their cell phones and took a picture of him. With my brows twitched in annoyance, I went beside Adrien and hooked my arms with his, smiling inwardly so that he wouldn't notice that I was rejoicing when I saw on my peripheral how disappointed they we're when they saw me with him.             "Hah! As if they'll just get this Mr Snob's attention, even I, the Ingrid Krause had a hard time just to have him look at me." I murmured, I don't know if it's a mirage I saw but I really think Adrien smirked.             He lead me to the department store, I passed by the store where I usually buy my outfit, I wanted to check the new dresses they have but Adrien went straight to Forever 21.             "Good afternoon, sir. What can I do for you?" The sales lady uttered in a sexy voice, tucking her brunette locks on her ear as she smiled towards Adrien.             I rolled my eyes, she was clearly flirting with him... She doesn't even care if I'm with him, with my arms hooked on his arms.             To my surprise when Adrien smiled at her. He had never smiled at me like that! What the fudge?! I let go of his arms and stroll inside the shop, there we're flannels, button down shirts, full sleeves,  sleeveless, dresses,  jeans,  shorts and more inside the store. The clothes we're pretty but it's certainly not my type.             I was looking for something that would actually fill my satisfaction when I felt someone poked me, I looked behind me only to see Adrien holding an armful of clothes.             "Try these." He said, giving me the clothes and pushing me inside the fitting room. I tried the clothes he wants, I must say that the clothes suit me perfectly. I showed him the clothes but he's just looking at me intently. When I'm done with the clothes he gave me, he just told the sales lady that he'll take all of it.             I was about to give the sales lady my premium card but Adrien glared at me, "I can pay for that." I said.             "And I can as well, Ingrid." I was taken aback when he called me by my name. This is actually the first time I heard my name roll at the edge of his tongue, and I think I wouldn't get over hearing him call me that every day.             We went inside a shoe store which gets me excited for a bit. I could by a stiletto or two! I was feeling giddy but much to my dismay when he lead me to the Kedz. Wow, yay!             "Adrien, can I buy a stiletto?" I asked but he just shook his head, "Pumps then?"             "No."             "Wedge?"             "No."             "A gladiators?" I uttered, rolling my eyes in annoyance, it's not a high heels anymore! Adrien looked at me, sighing exasperatedly before nodding his head.             I quickly took the gladiators and gave it to him, he bought me three pairs of Kedz and when I tried them, he immediately paid everything.             When we reached the towers, I opened the door of my unit and he put the things he bought on the sofa. He didn't even look at me and turned his back, but before he could leave, I held his arm.              He's brows raised in confusion as he trailed his gaze on my hand that's holding him.             "Don't leave. At least let me cook for you tonight." I uttered, "Think of this as a payment for all of these." I added before pointing my index finger on the things he bought.             "Okay." He murmured, taking my hands off his arm, "I'll just take a bath." He added before leaving me.             I changed my clothes and went to the kitchen. I don't know what to cook but I'm an expert when it comes to fried chicken so I decided to cook that. I searched on the internet on how to cook pasta as well.             Rolling the chicken on the flour, then to the eggs and the breadcrumbs repeatedly, I put the chicken on the frying pan and let the noodles boil on the water.             Humming my favourite song, I heard the door clicked, and when I looked to see who it was, I saw Adrien. He was fuming mad.             "Why didn't you lock the doors?" He spat, voice laced with anger.             "That’s because I was expecting you to come." I reasoned.             "You should have known that I'll knock! What if it's that ex of a r****t of yours that enters your unit?! Use your brain Ingrid!" He yelled.             "Okay, I'm sorry. Chill! Just go to the living room, watch some Netflix and help yourself with some wine!" I uttered and continued cooking. He took the bottle of wine on my refrigerator and went to my living room.             After half an hour, I called him. I already prepared the table and he quickly sit on the chair in front of me.             "Ts, you call this dinner?" He curtly said, looking at the pasta and chicken I made.             "That's what I know how to cook! I just searched it on the internet. Don't judge." I cried, heat rushed on the side of my cheeks and I was fully aware that I was blushing from embarrassment.             "Ts, this can't be helped. If I had known, then I should have just cooked my own dinner." He said, taking a mouthful of pasta.             We ate quietly and once done, I took our plates and washed the dishes. Adrien didn't left my kitchen after, he was just sitting on the chair. He was playing with the glass wine on his hand, looking at it intently.             "Stop drinking. You're drunk." I uttered, wiping my hand with a clean cloth. His gaze bore on me, it was drowsy, his face gaining foreign colour due to the alcohol.             "I'm not drunk." He uttered, I pulled the glass wine from his grasp, with his eyes turn into slits, a pout suddenly form on his lips.             I was flabbergasted when he pulled my hand, his lips brushed through mine, nibbling my lower lip as it looked for a possible entrance to play with my tongue. His hand reached for my nape to deepen the kiss, I gasped when his other hand makes way to my bosom. He used it as an entrance to have a fiery dance with my tongue.             I could taste the wine on his mouth, I closed my eyes and kissed him back. I heard him groan when I deepen the kiss.             "Annaliese…" I stopped, but he kept kissing me. As if he was thirsty for more, like my lips was the oasis in the dessert.             "Adrien, I'm Ingrid." I uttered, making him stop. He looked at me, the drowsiness on his eyes was blown by the wind, a timid smile was on his lips as pain flashed his eyes.             "I know." He said, leaving me alone, inside my unit.             Who was Annaliese? I know I made that name up, but I didn't know that someone has that name.             Maybe it's his ex-girlfriend?
